I can't remember the last time I was bored- it seems like any opportunity to have some "down time" has a waiting list of interesting things to do, the main one being catching up on my listening backlog.

Looks like the GB/Cowboys game on 11/29 could be a big one. Man, the Colts are getting their asses kicked right now. Gut-check time.

If Romo and the Cowboys keep improving as they have been, I will not be at all surprised to see a Dallas/NE Superbowl. And it might be a pretty good game! Not to imply the Cowboys are "for real" or anything....... edit: I'd prefer to see the Colts (sorry, conn!) but I just don't know if they're going to pull it off this year (sorry, rachel!). I hope I'm wrong.

Just submitted it. Whew.... Thanks for all the help everyone. After some mentoring I ended up going a little different direction, but my main intent is still to write a bunch of new music, it's just that it will be original tunes instead of arrangements. I'll find out in January if I get it or not. The biggest challenege was to format it correctly and describe everything in that academic-speak. They're very picky about how you submit everything. I'm just glad to have the opportunity to apply- it will be a pretty sweet deal if it comes through.

I love Fridays. Usually a light day at school and the whole weekend lies ahead. And I just handed in my grant proposal- that sucker took a lot of work. You have to format everything just so or they won't accept it. Ah, the joys of academia. Plus, no school on Monday (Veteran's Day). Sometime it's good to be a state employee. Anyone else off on Monday? Any exciting weekend plans? EDIT: ...and the best thing is that the weather has turned BEAUTIFUL in Tallahassee this week! Very cool temps, it actually got down to freezing the last couple of nights. It definitely makes up for the miserable summer nastiness.
