  1. Now THAT one I don't have. Keep me posted.
  2. I would guess that "Alice In Wonderland" is also not a Larry Kart favorite. "Someday My Prince Will Come"? How does that one stand up? I'll admit that other than Miles' version I'm not a huge fan of that one. Or "Windows"? Definitely a darker vibe there than the others, much more harmonic content. Not a "cute" tune like the others. In the correct key of B minor, not the Real Book key of Bb.
  3. So he would have been born around 1750! Wow, that is amazing! "Slow and steady" indeed.
  4. Good thoughts to you, NOF! Get back here ASAP........................
  5. Conn is a bit frayed at the edges as well.
  6. You ROCK dude!! Enjoy!
  7. If I didn't already have this I'd be all over it! It's a MUST HAVE!!
  8. Very nice pics, Mark!
  9. Jim's making a "my-shit-is-nasty organ face". Guys who don't play horns get to do that. Do Joe and Randy do it as well?
  10. So you like it so long as you don't have to hear it? BTW, the version on Mel Lewis and Friends is one of my favorites. Freddie kills it.
  11. I did what several here recommended and put all the discs into seperate jewel cases, avoiding the rusted hulk entirely.
  12. Recently discussed in this thread.......
  13. You our correct, sir.
  14. Yes, being dead really limits your ability to play gigs.
  15. Nice to see a thread on this group. One of my favorite recordings is "Dedicated To Connie", the 5/27/60 Slovenia concert.
  16. The spikes on that fence look quite pointy.
  17. When I read the title I thought you might be referring to Bob Jones University. Thankfully, I was wrong.
  18. Yes, and also The Big Beat.
  19. I think I have this somewhere, can't put my hands on it at the moment. If I remember correctly, it was mostly a discography with some commentary thrown in. Nothing earthshaking, but if you're a Rollins freak (as I am) you'll enjoy it. If anyone has any different recollection of this, I'd be interested to hear it.
  20. I know I got suckered in after reading one of the Millenium Bug books and went out and stocked up on stuff. Then nothing happened and I felt like an idiot. Now I tend not to get overly concerned about these alarmist articles, but then again, who knows when it might be for real. Maybe I'm naive. I just refuse to go through life worrying about every possible thing that might happen.
  21. I remember Simon. There was also a variation of that game which would play a sequence of random tones that you had to remember and input in the same way. Just like with Simon the sequence would get longer each time until you made a mistake. What the hell was the name of that? Was it called "Wizard" maybe?
  22. I like the left-handed trombonist in the picture. Not too many of those around.
  23. So will there be a bassist on the next Tenacious D release? How proud Charlie must be of his prospective son-in-law......
