  1. Yes, that was a good one. The Lew Harper character came back for The Drowning Pool.
  2. Ole Miss upsets the Gators 31-30!
  3. I have a Krups, about the same price. I think the kind that flips is the way to go- they create a lighter & fluffier waffle.
  4. Yes, a great film. Marvin Hamlisch's arrangements of Scott Joplin's music brought that style into the mainstream, at least for a while. I remember there being a resurgence of Joplin's music in high school concert bands in the 70s(where the arrangers were always ready to jump on a trend).
  5. Just curious, what part would he have played? I'm assuming he was too old to be cast as Clyde Barrow. As one of the two elderly Texas Rangers who helped "bring them to justice." Ideally it would have reunited him on screen with Redford. Interesting! With Shia LaBeouf & Jessica Alba in the lead roles, right?

  7. Who fixed it? How did they fix it? I still don't understand why it happened. But thanks for fixing it!
  8. I've always enjoyed Paul Newman's films. He always seemed like someone who would have been fun to hang out with. I remember many of his movies going back to when I was a kid- some of them weren't great movies, but I always found Newman to be an engaging actor. A few that have distinct memories for me- Drowning Pool - I also remember a young & hot Melanie Griffith in this one. Nobody's Fool - I really enjoy this later Newman performance (and another Melanie Griffith appearance) Paris Blues - of course, mostly for the music Empire Falls - this was a mini-series, I think on HBO. Newman's character was very interesting Also many of the films already mentioned. And yes, I'll even admit to liking Towering Inferno, one of the classic Irwin Allen disaster flicks from the 70s. I'm also a fan of his food products, mostly the pasta sauce (Sockarooni!), salsa and salad dressing. I've enjoyed a lifetime of Newman 's work. And he seemed to be a class act all the way. Rest in Peace.
  9. Thank you for the reminder, aloc! I just took care of it, it's easy.
  10. Maybe it's confined to guys named Paul.
  11. The problem seems to be confined to that thread only.
  12. Yes, I'm having that exact problem too. WTF?
  13. Waffles from scratch are best, but this mix makes a tasty one.......
  14. Now it's over. Amazing upset!
  15. It ain't over yet. Looks like USC finally woke up.
  16. "What's the difference between Kenny G and a leaf blower?" Lipstick.
  17. I thought using piano (especially because it's Mulgrew Miller) was a nice choice. Not that I didn't like Steve Nelson, it's just nice to hear some different instrumentation.
  18. Husband of Monday Michiru, in case you hadn't heard. Frat boy scores big!
  19. I have a big head. It's friggin' huge. I can never find hats that fit, so I have to shop here.
  20. And those stickers plastered all over Columbia/Legacy's cd's. Those big square yellow ones in particular (those gold Miles stickers are ok to get off) whose glue comes right off the sticker and stays on the jewel case-WHAT A PAIN IN THE ASS TO GET THAT FRICKIN' GLUE OFF THE CASE I've stopped trying to peel those stickers off. Easier just to buy a box full of empty jewel cases and move the booklets, covers, disc, etc., into those. This stuff takes care of that crap.
  21. It's a sculpture by Australian artist Ron Mueck. He's got other big sculptures besides this one. It is creepy, isn't it?
