Same here! If people here are bothered by other posters, best solution is just ignore them. There is an Ignore option that is available on the control panel which enables anyone to do just that!

Jan, a very hearty welcome to this Board! One suggestion: this should be posted on the Funny Rat thread. That's where many of the people interested in this type of music gather. Hope the new release is as good as the first one Guy

I have several of those Saga Blues and I have been very impressed with the sound of them. The producers went out of their way to get good sounding copies of the sides they included in the CDs. And the design is excellent, very much the same quality as the Jazz In Paris series. Another plus is the price since Saga Blues is an economy label which sells at very attractive prices.

The excellent (and very cheap) Piazzolla box was mentioned several months ago in this thread!

Coleman Hawkins - Clark Terry 'Back in Bean's Bag' (Columbia stereo) The Jazz Messengers 'Des Femmes Disparaissent' French Fontana 10" original, soundtrack music (the 1959 Messengers with Barney Wilen) to the awful film by Edouard Molinaro which played on French cable this week! Music is much better than the film!

Did not have to wait for that Classics reissue to groove on Lockjaw! There are numerous albums under his name on Prestige which turn me on at each listen. The Cookbooks sessions cook! And those solos he took when he was with the Count Basie band are still old favorites!

Would have to agree it this materializes. In the meantime, a new soccer wonder is emerging with the French hopefuls, the Marseille player Franck Ribery who scored the winning goal in the France vs. England hopefuls match this week. Hope French coach Raymond Domenech will be wise enough to select him for the World Cup team. But with Domenech, who knows?

A lot of very interesting blues reissues have been released recently on the Saga Blues label from France. Most of the people behind the reissues were involved previously with the Masters of Jazz series. You can view details on the blues reissues on their website: http://www.sagajazz.com/ Go to the Catalogue link and click on Saga Blues. Enjoy!
