I agree with Dan. I like the Cardinals and have always wanted them to win a World Series again (except this year!!), and even travelled to see them in person as soon as I had a chance to, but this year's team wasn't even close to being the best team (I thought Minnesota would take it all!). The Tigers absolutely handed them this Series win. That was one of the ugliest Series I have ever seen, poor play all around, a little less so by the winner. There have been much better Cardinals teams that lost (85, 87, 2002, 2004, last year) so it's nice they finally did, but man that was ugly. Inexplicable how a Leyland played like that. WTF?

I follow baseball closely so I always hate to see it end. However, I do think the season is too long. I don't think it should start so early; maybe mid to late April, shave a few games off the schedule so they arent playing so many chilly/rainy weather games early. What I truly dislike about baseball being over is the omnipresent basketball coverage. Hard to avoid it around here

I don't get it either. The last album I have by her is Amaryllis. I want to get Amaryllis, but it appears to be out of print. Didn't it just come out in 2000? I can't find it anywhere, and the online stores I have been checking don't have it as available (other than the ECM site, which is too expensive)

I wonder what you will think of it. I have been unable to find much interesting in any of these "Side" solo albums after repeated listenings. Maybe it's the loops and electronic drums, but it aint doin it for me.

I have not been a fan of Pujols the personality since 2001, when my wife and I travelled to St Louis and saw two Cardinals games (they played the Giants). During BP of the Saturday evening game, we were down at the railing beside right field, along with at least 10-12 kids and some other adults, getting autographs from McGwire, LaRussa, and some of the relievers, when Albert walked by. All of the kids were screaming at him to come over and sign something for them, begging him to, and he just kept on strolling by, with a smirk on his face and not even a glance over at all of these kids. Just didnt seem like he gave a crap about these kids with that attitude. And this was when he was a rookie!!

well, I'm shocked like everyone else. during the last weekend of the season i thought the tigers were done and would be out early. amazing how they turned it around. i wonder when the rest of the baseball world will start showing them some respect? that is two series in a row that a coworker has been unable to use his tickets. he had two for game 4 of the ALDS and game 5 of the ALCS!
