I just listen to it. And every year, I listen to it in its' entirety on the anniversary of its' recording.

Thanks for the responses everyone. I don't think I'll be writing the GRE for a couple of years anyway, but it's something that I am just starting to think about. JM, you say you have a PhD in biochem-are there any graduate schools that you can recommend for the chemistry side of biochemistry? Right now I've only looked at Michigan (for their pharmacology program) and the Georgia Institute of Technology.

I'm considering going back to school to get my PhD in biochemistry or a related discipline (virology or mechanisms of drug action most likely). I currently have a MS in organic chemistry and a BS in biochemistry, both from universities in Canada. There, I didn't have to write any GRE, so I'm wondering, if I were to apply to a school here in the US, what is the GRE like? Is it a brutal exhausting test, something that should be studied for for months? I'm assuming I would have to take the general and a specific chemistry one. I have worked as a research chemist for 4 years so I'm not too worried about a chemistry test, but what about the general test? Does anyone here have anything to comment on the GRE? Anyone have any experiences writing the GRE they care to share?

Actually this isn't such an odd thing from Neil. When has he ever done the expected? Anyone remember Journey through the Past or Where the Buffalo Roam? That's an obscure soundtrack from each decade (70s, 80s, 90s), so I'm wondering what this decade will bring. What about Arc, from the Ragged Glory tour documented on Weld? A single, 34 min or so disc, one track, feedback drenched intros and outros of songs edited together, a composition collage!

It's AAJ's terrible loss to drive away guys with as much knowledge, insight and great memories/stories as Chris and Chuck. I know I have thoroughly enjoyed participating in discussions with and reading posts by them here, AAJ and BlueNote.

I really like the look of the Coltrane on Impulse! digipaks or whatever they are called, but they get destroyed quickly. My copy of Africa/Brass has a big folded part on the top of the spine (I have no idea how that happened either), my Live at Birdland has a faded, scuffed cover and it looks like the spine is going to let go soon, and my Love Supreme is looking pretty ragged too. And I try to take care of these things, I file them away from other discs on a shelf, all of them together, and I take precautions to try to protect them, but still they get beat-up rapidly.
