  8. I saw him with Akiko Tsuruga on B-3 at Birdland last year. Really great B-3 jazz and Lou was blowing up a storm, great band. One of the most enjoyable shows I've seen in a while.

  13. a fine artist. Glad I saw a few years ago with Willie and Merle. He stole the show, IMO though all artists were excellent that night.

  16. A nice recording and well produced by John Lee. I doubt this band had many gigs before this recording as it is a bit rough around the edges but plenty of fine music from JH's wonderful compositons and equally wonderful arrangements. The tempos on many of these pieces were faster than the previous recordings and I did miss a guitar on some. Overall an excellent effort and worth picking up. These words after one listening so don't hold me to my comments 100%..

  21. Always worth calling AA and seeing what that have as open box, demo, etc. I've gotten some deals this way. That said, I started with a Yamaha and moved up to a Pioneer Elite AV receiver both of which have served me well. Spend some time on the AV forums to get a sense of what's out there. I have never used the tuner section of either.
