    RIP. I recall a wonderful show I saw with both Franks (Foster and Wess) a decade or so ago. Both were in fine form, cracking jokes and playing so well.

    thanks. he still sounds great but the sound he got out of his hybrid put him on the map. I saw the Dregs countless times and it was always a high energy show.

    quite a show. Chestnut with John Lee on bass and Tootie Heath on drums and a young guitarist who was quite good. I had a nice chat with Lee before the set and he asked me to keep in touch so I will.

    Whenever Jimmy Heath and McCoy Tyner can afford a big band, there's a groove. Arturo O'Farrell Afro-Cuban BB is also wonderful.
