  1. I have Spotify. What I like about them is that I seem to find alot of OOP hard to find recordings.
  2. Well I always knew I was going to hell in a bucket, at least I'll enjoy the ride as the Grateful Dead song goes. Mustard and ketchup on a hamburger, I confess.
  3. Just heard a track on WWOZ and now playing via Spotify.
  4. Ok, I don't own this set. But a friend lent me this at one time. Simply amazing stuff.
  5. I really enjoy it. Then again I am a huge fan of Kenny's playing. Song For Abdullah is the standout track for me. Third Eyes is also very good. Kenny is on fire on this particular track.
  6. Thanks for posting those, Bill. I am especially interested in the earlier release. You already know I'm a big fan.
  7. I've been listening to this on Spotify today and will be placing an order with Amazon in the coming days. I'll let the experts decide how this ranks versus his other live dates. All I can say is that the band sounds great! If you're a fan, I am pretty certain you're going to enjoy this.
  8. Well, a great McCoy Tyner release in my mind circa 1970 on Blue Note would be the release Extensions. Not easily available, but well worth searching out for. I guess while I'm at it Lou Donaldson's The Scorpion is another fine release.
  9. I imagine this has been discussed here at some length prior, but I couldn't seem to find anything. While my collection of Blue Note releases is heavily weighted from the early/mid 50's to mid 1960's, a much smaller part is dedicated to the labels later sessions of the late 60's/very early 70's output. Yes, I own a couple Grant Green dates, Lee Morgan 's Live @ The Lighthouse among others. I've also picked up a couple of little gems recently which wouldn't be on someone's immediate radar but are quite good. Examp!e Lou Donaldson's Midnight Creeper and Duke Pearson's The Phantom. I guess what I am asking is what are some lesser known releases which deserve some love? I also just started listening to Jimmy McGriff's session The Worm, which gives you a better idea where I am headed. I am quite enjoying that! Thoughts are always appreciated. Let me also add, it seems that the Blue Note Rare Groove Series could also be apart of the discussion since I am also curious about those releases from the same time period more or less.
  10. I own 3 presently. Flight To Denmark, Two Loves(a recent purchase) and Misty Thursday. I'm also thinking of getting the session with Charlie Rouse and Richard Williams which sounded good to my ears. Anything else one would consider must haves? Thanks.
