    Johnny Lytle

Good news, thanks for heads up. I've not heard either of these.
  2. Just watched Doctor Terror's House Of Horrors. Not seen before, Tubby Hayes gets more screen time than I thought. Earlier this week came across The Golden Disc. Features a few seconds of Phil Seamen (credited as Seamon). Ronnie Ross is recognisable.
  3. I agree the Savoy twofer series was fantastic. Regular visits to Mole Jazz secured most of the US issues. Great music, nice pressings, good packaging and intelligent notes. The single albums were excellent too.
  4. Happy Birthday Adrian.
  5. I really wanted to love this album from when it first came out. Unfortunately it never did much for me.

I enjoy Lytle. I haven't got that much by him but most of what I have is notable for an often joyous sound leaving me with a feel good feeling.
  7. Original UK Brunswick pressing. Looks and sound as good as new. Unfortunately no jacket.
  8. Of its time but Hubbard is terrific.
  9. Omits Ritual but adds a couple of tracks.
  10. Blowing Country from this.
  11. I can't say Bowie's art was ever part of my life, but he was always an interesting figure, nevertheless I feel, like Sidewinder, stunned by this very sad news.
  12. Henry Threadgill; Subject To Change. About Time
  13. I was curious too.
  14. Thad never disappoints. Now moving on to disc 3. Motor City Scene is the least familiar to me - most of the other music here I have or had on vinyl.
  15. Thad Jones; Complete Blue Note, UA and Roulette. Cd 1.
  16. Happy Birthday Clifford..
