  7. My wife RAN to the store and made me watch this movie as soon as it was released on DVD because she crowed about how good this movie was when she saw it in the theater....can someone tell me what the big deal is? I guess I'm just not a fan of wrestling. Now my wife is playing "Bride Wars"
  8. U3 is a good record. I wouldn't say it overwhelmed me, and I haven't played for years, but when I do put it on, I wonder why I don't play it enough. It's one of those dates that just slips through the cracks. So far, I would say "On the Spur of the Moment" is my favorite date, largely for the appearance of Tommy Turrintine.
  9. Forgot to check...probably will forget to check again.
  10. I want to say it was an Ike Quebec side, maybe the last date at Hackensack...
  11. Yeah, this is a bummer, because after the Atlantic/Savoy cd reissue of the Dixon/Shepp date, I really really want to hear this date. I wish Bill (or whoever has the tapes) would give the fans a "legal" chance to hear this date. It kind of reminds me of the Ornette Impulse's that we'll never get to hear on cd
  12. Typical Ohio April/May weather: rain.
  13. Porkchops...exciting huh?
  14. Wow, that was kinda tough; it humbled me . On average, I scored nothing more than 50%. I think maybe out of each quiz, I definitely knew two answers; the others were pretty difficult for me. (and by the way, I was even too embarrased to publish my results )
  15. You're not wrong there, Max is actually the first and last musician you hear on that classic album. I was giving it a spin the other night along with "WorkTime", what difference six months can make. "WorkTime" = amazing, "Saxophone Colossus" = mind blowing. The only Rollins Roach session I really didn't care for was "Tour de Force", where it seems that Rollins and Roach are having a bit of a pissing contest, only it's not who can piss the farthest but who can piss the fastest. I would add his BN Vol. One (1542) to the list too for terrific Sonny/Roach collaborations. Great stuff there as well.
  16. Second that. Third Season is really really good late '60's Mobley, with some great playing by Sonny Greenwich.
  17. Rachel Getting Married.
  18. My famous spaghetti -_-
  19. BBQ'd ribs and burgers.
