  1. Thanks Rod! I had no idea about this. I actually have a couple of Harold Budd cds of his ambient music.
  2. Welcome! :rsmile:
  3. BAGEL PEDDLER!!! I just had to get that off my chest.
  4. Mr. Peepers! I've heard music by a Harold Budd who has worked with Brian Eno. Is that who you're referring to?
  5. Wow! I can't wait for the Hill set. I think my wife's going to order it for me for Valentine's Day. I have to admit, I think they've lost their way. Have you seen the next Select in the series?!?
  6. So far... I have enjoyed all the Select sets I have heard. This new one is a real disappointment.
  7. That's cool! I find I'm much happier not being a completist with anything. :rsmile:
  8. I am neck deep in the Complete Jim Nabors Columbia Sessions. I know at 14 discs, it's a huge set, but his music just brings tears to my eyes.
  9. How's Bird keep that beret on? Duct tape. If he ran out of that, he used something called smack. I'll need to pick some of that up at the hardware store.
  10. I love Fender guitars, but for these shows, I hope Clapton will be playing Gibson guitars again. That's what he played in Cream. Gibsons through Marshall amps. I'm not a big fan of his current tone.
  11. The Elmo Hope is really good. I already have the Collector's Choice reissue so I don't really need a conn of this, but if the sound is really good, you never know... I'd really like to see some more reissues of the early Blue Note recordings (and the Ike Quebec ).
  12. Thank you, my friend! :rsmile:
  13. Everybody, please e-mail Michael at the Mosaic address, and let's all tell him how much we want to hear The Trainwreck session. I'd prefer the Quebec 2-fer, as I've already got "Natural Essence." Me too. I REALLY want the Quebec 45 set. Heck, Quebec deserves to be reissued - Look at the role he played in Blue Note's development. This deserves to be reissued on principle alone. But... If they throw in enough pieces of the Trainwreck, I'll definitely re-buy Natural Essence. Otherwise, I'll just keep the TOCJ.
  14. Are you saying you don't like the Ewoks and Jar-Jar? Say it isn't so! I like my muppets on Sesame Street or the Muppet Show. Okay, Yoda was cool, but...
  15. RT called it... this can't be good. Reminds me of a movie...
  16. cheesenutcasewichworld Curiously, I was cooking a pizza while on the board earlier and left it on too long. Fortunately, I only burned part of it.
  17. RIGHT ON! I have this on laserdisc already, but I'll buy almost any Welles film.
  18. I hope so. I'm looking forward to the boots if there's no DVD. Me too. I'd be shocked if there wasn't a DVD. You'll probably be able to download the shows through bit-torrent if they don't make them available. I don't pay for boots anymore.
  19. I was initially skeptical about this reunion, but I have the feeling these guys will rise to the occasion. They probably figure that this will be their last go-round together and this will be a part of their legacy, so I'm really hoping that they'll show up to PLAY. :rsmile:
  20. I can understand that too, but I really would love to have those Quebec sessions. I have a CDr of the set, but I'd love to have the "real thing." If a two-fer is out, then what about a Volume 1 and Volume 2 of the Quebec 45 Sessions? Blue Note released a bunch of multiple volume albums back in the day... Thanks for the info, Kevin!
  21. This sounds really GOOD! I really didn't need to know this. I don't think there's a chance of NOT eating the entire bag.
  22. If money was in abundance for me, I'd pick it up. I agree, Shatner is a hoot. I also read that he had some interesting collaborators on this.
