  1. Yeah I like the early Duul stuff a lot for whatever reason -- been on a 'Krautrock' kick lately and digging out a lot of this stuff again. Luckily most of mine are in really, really nice shape. The cover on Tago Mago has a small sticker tear and some edge wear (unsurprising on this textured thin UK pocket sleeve) but the vinyl is crisp.
  2. Amon Düül - Collapsing - (Metronome GER orig)
  3. Can - Tago Mago - (United Artists, UK pressing)
  4. I have that Jeffrey LP on Savoy. It's nice. Not earth-shattering, but cool. Will check these clips.
  5. I only have a reissue of the first one and a burn of "Free Psychedelic Poster Inside." There's a handsome-looking reissue box that recently came out and I may have to pick it up (along with too many other things it seems).
  6. Relatively Clean Rivers - s/t - (Phoenix RE) Phil Pearlman's greatest...
  7. yeah, I agree -- it took me a while to really "hear" this music (strange considering what else I listen to) but in recent years/months I've really come to love Bird and his compatriots and these recordings are wonderful.
  8. Bird with Tiny Grimes from The Complete Savoy Studio Sessions (Savoy 5LP box). Transcendence.
  9. Masotti is brilliant. Now: Phil Yost - Bent City - (Takoma, US orig)
  10. Good thing I have the 1965/66 issue...
  11. yeah, I was there. Then there was the dude ribbing him for being too "odd." Must've been the little blue chair and the hat. I thought his playing was strong and added a bit of lyric levity to the program.
  12. Nobody wants to get on Aaron Parks' bad side... that's for sure!
  13. need to dig that one out again. I remember it being a beautiful album but it's been quite a while since it's been on deck.
  14. Chris McGregor & The Castle Lager Big Band - Jazz/The African Sound - (Jazzman UK reissue) excellent music in good sound and apparently fully legit/authorized. Well done.
  15. My only struggle is with the fidelity -- the composition and the playing seem first rate, but are rendered murkily. Just my .02.
  16. Anything you have doubles of, let me know!
  17. looks like a good one indeed; I've never heard it, alas. now: J.R. Monterose - Live in Albany - (Uptown)
  18. nice - yeah, it's a good record for sure.
  19. Ronnie Ross/Allan Ganley - The Jazz Makers - (Atlantic, green/blue stereo)
  20. Zoot Sims - In Paris - (United Artists, stereo Canadian pressing)
  21. George Wallington - The Prestidigitator - (East/West, JP reissue)
  22. Wow. RIP. I need to get more familiar with his music, and it's sad that his departure must serve as an impetus.
  23. Charles Mingus - Chazz! - (America FR pressing)
  24. Flashback sequences coupled with recognizable (to most) music. I'll watch it. Looks nutty.
