  1. Love this... "bigger room for his furniture, not a total remodel."
  2. I wasn't expecting that solo piano cut on the Jazzland LP to sound so much like Satie.
  3. had the Ashoka Suite at one point and sold it (condition issues). Would not mind having it back.
  4. thanks. Figured Lloyd had, too. I don't really listen to Lloyd but good to know that performance is out there.
  5. yes, back in the day a bar could call you a cab. still could, though with the presence of Lyft/Uber it's less necessary.
  6. ^ Have a nice UK mono pressing of this one.
  7. I'll have to check that one out! Love Nistico & Strazzeri both.
  8. 1 is Mau Mau by Art Farmer & Quincy Jones, notably heard on "Work of Art." 7 is driving me crazy. Seems so familiar, very much in the BAG vein. Enjoy it immensely.
  9. Thanks; yeah, I figured that band would've hit Slugs' at some point.
  10. I think that these could be done as downloads and I'd be fine with it.
  11. that's true, but the initial hype versus the delivery time ratio is a bit lopsided in my opinion.
  12. For sure he did! Unforgettable, those solos...
  13. oh, but that thing... it had a lot of personality and Mal made it his own.
  14. How long do we have to wait until we identify tracks? Track one is a favorite of mine.
  15. How about I take March for a little March Madness?
  16. Yeah, it doesn't really bother me at the end of the day. I am more concerned about whether there's non-fill or any other pressing plant bugaboos on the vinyl. The Pookie's set was not manufactured all that well.
  17. Slugs' piano was kinda rough (cf. the Rashied Ali Quintet at Slugs'). It is definitely out of tune.
  18. Lucinda Childs Twyla Tharp Andy De Groat
  19. If Dusty stocks 'em I will grab. It is a bit tiring, I must admit.
  20. I've seen more copies of Hum Dono offered for sale than I have Movement... the original is exceedingly rare. No, I don't have either...
  21. Endesha Obe -- didn't he disappear ferrying "supplies" over the Gulf of Mexico at one point? Fascinating character, regardless, and he engineered a lot of really interesting records.
  22. This was a report from a friend who got a preview copy. I have yet to hear the set.
  23. No worries! That is a full day of music... both sets were excellent. Fiedler's trio is going into the studio to record soon, and the music on that forthcoming CD is superb. They are a super tight unit, and Joe's post-Mangelsdorff multiphonic creativity is well on display.
