  1. I take it the Parlan is still available?
  2. Me too. I wish I could just delete my retarded earlier posts.
  3. Amen. I find this thread infuriating and I'm not even an expert on hip hop.
  4. I keep ferreting out little gems - check it out. Accepting offers that aren't too low-balled.
  5. Supposedly starting in January. Business might be better there - we'll see!
  6. I enjoy Birtwistle and I enjoy Threadgill. I would highly doubt Threadgill's ultimate structural concern mirrors Birtwistle's.
  7. Huh. Well, at least you guys will have Alex Coke back in Amsterdam before too long. Very fine winds player and a sweet guy.
  8. I don't know whether the Legacy vinyls are from analog masters or digital remasters; certainly clean 2-eye Miles LPs aren't easy to find, but they shouldn't set you back more than $20 apiece. Blue Notes are another matter, though in a pinch I'd opt for Japanese Kings and purchasing them online is your best bet.
  9. The Goldberg article is great; I still have not seen the series and don't feel much loss.
  10. How would a track from a Bird LP somehow get into the plating process on a Liberty BN? On this one, Aric, I am stumped.
  11. Wow. They don't do things like this anymore...
  12. Hah, yeah, true... I actually haven't heard that particular Shipp release, so I'll have to put it in queue.
  13. A few stragglers if anyone is interested.
  14. Ouch. RIP - and thanks.
  15. Clearly... the thing is they pay people to write for the site, last time I checked...
  16. The worst album ever? If you didn't know any better, you might think so...
  17. Never had any problem with Black Saint LPs or CDs. My copy of Trickles sounds great, and it's a wonderful album.
  18. Never tried that - gave up on getting a non-locked copy of Dave Burrell's La Vie de Boheme on BYG after four copies that stuck.
  19. Joshua Abrams - Natural Information - (Eremite)
  20. Allen, who is Cecil Young's son? T Ho B is a fantastic musician, indeed.
  21. Thanks, Matt - considering the breadth of your knowledge, that is quite a compliment.
  22. Yes, I wondered that too. Listening to Peace and Blessings which has just arrived on the back of people's recommendations here - Longineu Parsons immediately stands out - someone I've not come across before. Enjoying this disc, so thanks to those who mentioned it There was a fine Parsons compilation issued a few years back... SPACED on Ubiquity. http://www.ubiquityrecords.com/artists/LONGINEU-PARSONS.html Yeah, that was nice - I remember having it at the radio station I worked at in KS.
