  1. I was glad to pick up the Mbari pressing a while back even though it was kind of pricey. It can be had on an Arista Freedom vinyl as well for much cheaper. Now: Josh Abrams - Natural Information - Eremite w/ Adasiewicz, Rosaly, Tanaka et al.
  2. All gone. Damn, that was quick.
  3. Don't sleep on the People CD, people. Still some nice stuff left.
  4. Thanks, all (and Al!).
  5. Bumped with some new additions, including several Clean Feed titles. Get 'em while they're hot!
  6. Looks like Peter & I get to fight over it! Hahaha (assuming it's in good nick)
  7. Rhys Chatham - Die Donnergotter - (Homestead)
  8. Michel Pilz - Jamabiko - (MP) quartet with Itaru Oki, Buschi Niebergall, Muhammad Ali.
  9. I'll buy it from you if it's clean.
  10. Indeed Bev. That's a marvellous disc. Brings back some great memories of seeing Working Week live (and that first album). Hadn't thought that it was Harry Beckett that was featured...will try and dig it out over the weekend That's a group I've heard of but never heard. I remember when I first heard him on record - I'd bought a copy of Graham Collier's "Down Another Road." Beckett's unaccompanied solos were life-altering, in a different but parallel way to Bill Dixon's work as an instrumentalist. Thank you, Mr Beckett.
  11. You are included. The numbering is off!
  12. I knew he wasn't in the best of health, but 65 is too young to go.
  13. Oh damn - so sorry to hear this. What an amazing, amazing player. RIP.
  14. Thanks for the enthusiasm, y'all - it will not go unheeded! 79 = 77 I guess...
  15. OK y'all, here it goes. My first attempt at a BFT. I will be hosting the files for downloading and will let you know more information once they are actually up, providing a link and so forth. If you can't download, that won't bar you from participating, and physical copies can be mailed out if need be. Here is the thing: I will be away from 7/29 to 8/3 and so in the interests of sanity, the August BFT will be available after I get back. That dovetails with the beginning of August and will allow y'all to let Bill Barton's deep collection and knowledge sink in a little more. I will try to appeal to all sensibilities, for sure, but any of you who know me know that there might be some free jazz / creative improvisation to deal with. If that's something you're really not into - well, I'm just warning you. Thoughts on conduction / advice are welcome, as always! Anyway, carry on... and thanks in advance.
  16. Loved that one from the first spin.
  17. Good luck with all you do, and thank you for everything you've done!
  18. You are young and have long lives ahead of you. Keep doing what you do. If your hearts and spirits are in the right place, you will make good music. What's clear from the tracks you've posted is that you play well together, and what a start that is. The rest will come in time, with practice and dedication. Good luck and welcome!
  19. Ach, just when I'm strapped...
  20. Contador has issued an apology to Schleck for his actions, while at the same time the consensus seems to be moving on from the incident. Good sportsmanship from all on this front, and Lance also turned in a fine stage today. This race has been rather exciting - something which was missing over the last decade.
  21. In the past, the rider in the yellow jersey (especially when he's clearly holding onto it) was not to be taken advantage of in the event of a crash or mechanical. If he blew up, that was another story. I think it shows bad sportsmanship on Contador's part to attack while Schleck was having a mechanical (not really the rider's fault - that's what mechanics are for). I have not watched today, but the 8 second deficit could be made up in the Pyrenees. If it were time trials, I wouldn't be so sure - don't think Schleck has it in the TTs.
  22. Yeah, personnel is correct after listening. It does not seem like all three drummers are on every track. I hear lots of Ali and Moore.
  23. Indeed a fine one! Haven't spun it in a while though...
