I have very little Stan T. - the LP with the Three Sounds and sideman appearances w/ Horace Parlan, etc. That's not to say I haven't been curious about titles like the ones mentioned here, though.

Indeed, great record. My ex girlfriend is a Hank Mobley fan (don't ask why I let that go) and was very surprised on hearing it - guess Milt was the kicker.

I've only heard the Riverside. Thought it was okay, but didn't entirely grab.

Girl From Martinique. It's a fine one; I recommend the Free State Band on America as well, even if Francois Nyombo's guitar is underrecorded.

There are lots of other Carter/Bradford releases - why make this obviously Andorran claim? I recall once owning a Carter/Bradford on one of those small European labels from the late 70's (Moers Music?). Am I wrong? Yeah, that's right. It's Carter's date. I have the previously issued material on wax but will be very happy to have this set.

I'd like to hear that - his sideman appearances on Steeplechase are real fine, IMO.

I have most of it on CD or LP, save Poppin'. Great deal for anybody who doesn't have the material (duh).

VG copy of this one goes for over $700! I listened to the sound clips and no way it was VG+(+).

I really like that record, and am not much of a Pet Sounds fan. Brandon Burke long ago made me a very nicely stoned compilation of Smile tracks that I think holds up well, even after the Brian Wilson re-do.

Tim Haldeman is no slouch on the tenor, either.

Boykin is not on this disc, but you are getting the idea, yes.

I used to have that on LP and wasn't feeling it. My tastes have changed since; who knows, I might enjoy it more now.

Charlie is a great player and a nice guy, but not my "favorite" bassist. I had to vote Other as well.

Not been in much of a vinyl mood lately, though I did spin this earlier: Oscar Pettiford - Blue Brothers - (Black Lion UK) appears to be a repackaging of some of the material he cut for Danish Debut in 1959-60. Very nice!

She shouldn't have quit her day job. Look forward to giving this a listen on the computer later.

I believe I had a Shepp record with him on it at one point.
