  1. I ordered mine the day this thread was started. It's annoying, but I will live!
  2. Andrew Hill - Grass Roots - (BN Liberty/UA pressing) Haven't spun this in some time, but it is one of my favorite Hill BN's for sure.
  3. It is shorthand for "Esperanto." The initial ESP-Disk' release was Ni Kantu en Esperanto, ESP 1001 (1963), a sing/speak-along record of Esperanto, the "universal" language. Bernard Stollman, the label's founder, is still an avid Esperantist.
  4. Still, single Okka and Eremite discs are around $20 - not expensive at all!
  5. I'm with brownie. I think I might've paid $30 for one disc once, but can't remember for the life of me what it was!
  6. Since Tchicai doesn't play alto anymore - much - I wonder if that led to Zorn's occasional inclusion in the group.
  7. I thought there was a UK pressing in the FJL/SFJL 900 series with that title, but I could be wrong.
  8. Does anyone know if the original disc in question on this thread is still in print? I spaced out and haven't got to it yet.
  9. I haven't seen anything... yet. Got my notice just now...
  10. Gato Barbieri - Obsession - (Affinity) 1967 session with Aldo Romano and J-F Jenny-Clarke, pretty bitchin'!
  11. Also, as of this morning, my balls seem to be working perfectly.
  12. Right, I believe a track or two from Tension ended up on there too. Gunter Kronberg was pretty smokin'!
  13. Still have yet to hear that 1st Ira Sullivan on Delmark, too (or is that actually a "Delmar"?). I have and enjoy Nicky's Tune, but Clifford Jordan blowing alongside Sullivan's arsenal looks pretty fine indeed.
  14. Steve Miller/Lol Coxhill 4tet - Miller's Tale - (Matchless) w/ Eddie Prevost and Tony Moore
  15. I have that Schoof CBS (great!) but still have yet to score a copy of the Kuhns' album. Very, very rare indeed!
  16. Yeah, looks great. Will be giving the Bastards some more of my dough!
  17. Yeah, I've seen Tchicai in NY and Chicago on some excellent gigs. He was living in California not long ago, I believe. I know he still has a house in rural France somewhere, and that's where I've reached him easiest.
  18. not too many years wasnt it made in 2000? Yes, but strangely enough, that's just a hair less than a quarter of my life (yikes!) ... As I understand it - and this may be total bullshit - a wedge was driven into the original lineup when Zorn replaced Tchicai on some gigs, and that another reunion is unlikely.
  19. Miles - At the Plugged Nickel, Chicago, vol. 1 - (CBS Japan orig)
  20. White - "Life on the Ranch of Elizabeth Clare Prophet Isn't All it's Cracked Up to Be" / "Play It All Night Long" - (Satan's Pimp)
  21. Times New Viking - Dig Yrself - (Siltbreeze)
  22. Haven't spun that in YEARS - don't remember liking it as much as the ESP, Fontana or ostensible America dates.
  23. Haven't seen this show, and due to my fear of flying, it probably isn't a good idea to watch! I have heard/read about a lot of these accidents, though.
  24. The Sonic Youth - Sister - (SST orig)
  25. There's something distracting about this picture, not sure what it is... Anyway, Happy Birthday guys! Hope it's a great way to start the week (or that the Monday doesn't get in the way of the celebration).
