  1. Joe Fonda Ensemble - Looking for the Lake - (Alacra) Anthony Braxton - The Complete Braxton - (Intercord/Freedom)
  2. OK, I'm glad they're "out there" but I really can't listen to their music.
  3. Wow, that's pretty fantastic. Can't think that I've had a score that nice!
  4. Curious about that one as well.
  5. Double vinyl LP, bought years ago.
  6. ...that is, unless you like that band already, which I do. I've got those LPs (as well as Song of Singing) and would be into a Select.
  7. That would be an cylinder reissue, no?
  8. I have the Horo and the Fluid. Fantastic band!
  9. I don't really think of Tim Buckley as "pop" (except maybe his later, crappier recordings) but that's just me. No sympathy for Van Dyke Parks here, either.
  10. At 31, barely got it then and really don't now...
  11. I think that was a dumpy mama compliment, if you can believe it...
  12. Chuck has hundreds of copies, apparently.
  13. I think their "Nordic island" sound actually works very well in some situations - Paul Motian's percussion sounds very detailed on his ECM recordings of the 1970s and early 80s.
  14. Donald Byrd - Fuego - (BN UA stereo reish) w/ McLean, Pearson, Watkins and Lex Humphries
  15. You just had to say that, didn't you...
  16. Don Friedman - Circle Waltz - (Riverside Japan stereo) w/ Pete La Roca and Chuck Israels Oddly enough, I used the title of this LP for my screen-name on a singles website...
  17. Aw shucks. [kicks the sand] AHHH! MY EYE!!!!
  18. Paul Motian - Tribute - (ECM) w/ Sam Brown, Charlie Haden, Carlos Ward et al. Corea/Holland/Altschul - ARC - (ECM)
  19. I have Multidirection and like it a lot; haven't heard the first one but I'm sure it's great as well.
  20. I'm not sure that there's that much mileage in either Week, Month or Moment. It seems like rarely does much discussion get started, unless there are a few folks really pumped on a particular side. I just don't see the point.
  21. That record is serious business!
