  2. Never heard of it. Looks interesting ! (didn't Nigel Morris record with Harry Beckett around that time?)
  3. Congrats - I was tempted myself.
  4. I remember those - they were often in the £1.99 bargain/deletion bins.
  5. All the best !
  6. Bob Diamond Loadsamoney Stavros
  7. Really regretting passing on a copy of that one for £7 a couple of years ago ! It certainly gets my vote !
  8. Peter King has been on fabulous form of late - playing better than ever. What a talent - world-class model aircraft builder/flyer as well.
  9. Richard III Tricky Dicky Dirty Digger
  10. I've still got my old 70s DJM LP of this music - 'Eric Dolphy Memorial Album'. Must dig it out !
  11. Happy Birthday Alex !
  12. Andrew Lansley Andrew Hill Jimmy Hill
  13. 'Miles In St Louis' (VGM)
  14. More speculation on this case from the Telegraph. Living and working in London seems to do strange things to people.. Man In Bag
  15. Strangely enough - Based on facial recognition I'm pretty sure I saw him (or his double) when I caught an overnight flight to the States (Washington), about 6 months before this happened. They were sat right by me on the plane deck. In the departures lounge he was part of a bunch of dark-suited characters who I thought immediately at the time had to be something to do with government. At the time I thought either 'military' or Civil Service - almost right as it turned out.
  16. The 'Forum West' set is great - that was my introduction to Joe Haider. Must look out for the 'Focus Jazz' (sadly long since disappeared from UK shops).
  17. I recognised the track by the Kuhns from the 'Forum West' but otherwise drew a complete and utter blank ! Will definitely have another listen or three. Some very interesting music on this BFT and lots of new artists/tracks to get acquainted with !
  18. Sadly, no hot pasties..
  19. My car doubled as a submarine on one of the local roads this morning !
  20. Happy Birthday !
  21. This is turning into a Mike Westbrook thread but I make no apologies for that. Drewsteignton is a lovely little place on the edge of Dartmoor - if it's like the last time I went the gig will be in the barn adjoining the Drewes Arms (entry via the graveyard !). Recommended ! Edited to say that yes, it is on 22nd July. I was thinking of the 'Off Abbey Road', which is in London in August (and with Brian Godding on guitar ).
  22. That makes me feel a bit better about not braving the torrential rain in an effort to see the Westbrook concert. They are back at Drewsteignton in August so I'd better make it next time ! Local rivers and ditches next door are full to overflowing here too..
