I have just secured a brand new copy of the Lou Donaldson. A bit of a hike from the Mosaic price unfortunately (thank you £ vs Euro ) and shipping from Italy. However, the emergency recovery action nears completion. I'm happier. Now all I need to happen is for some more Lou Donaldson sets to appear on Mosaic's site.

after posting this yesterday I dropped Mosaic an email bemoaning their loss and asking in vain if there was a Patton set kicking about. I wondered if in the chaos, underestimates of stock held might have occurred. Well amazingly I got a reply this evening , Cindy had a copy of the Patton select for me :excited: .... enough said, I am amazed to have been so lucky. No harm in asking. Cindy deserves a 'gong' for service beyond the call of duty. Congrats - it's a great set !

On a positive note it looks as if I've got a Pacific Jazz Trios Select on order so it's really only the Poppa Lou that I'm short of. Could be worse..

I hate to be that guy.....I just called Collectors Choice and they said the Lou set is currently out of stock..... I 'reserved' that Donaldson set at Collector's Choice and got the same message too. In fact I got a second message to say that my order had been 'cancelled' as per my request. Huh? 'I'm Spartacus..'

Same thing has just happened to me with the Pacific Jazz Trios. The order for the Pearson and Shank/Cooper went through OK though. Damn !

Yeah - I hear you. 'Mosaic Armaggedon' night I guess. It would have been better if we'd been able to do something about it but totally beyond control. Very sorry for the hassle all of this mess has created for Mosaic. Hope things stabilise soon.

I tried a mail re: holding back the Donaldson. I did get a short response from them last night saying they are 'sold out'. I'll bet they are fuming over this.

Thank goodness I managed to find one in time . Already looking forward mightily to this set. :rsly:
