  1. No, thanks. I still prefer the hassle of paper receipts then metal detector in my son's high school or your health care system.
  2. My problems is not the room. Is big number of the stuff and archival them. And your suggestion is nice, but it means even more job on the paper. On-line manuals are nice for a lot of things, basically all hardware related with computer is on-line, or on the cd-rom with drivers, but when you are in the kitchen trying to repairs the dishwasher, you don't like looking for stuff on the computer with your wet and dirty hands.
  3. I never read a Heinlein's book, but mid-fifties is exactly the common age for wishing such wet-dreams. Of course normally you talk about it with friends at pub after a few pints, or with your psychiatrist, you don't write it in a serious book.
  4. Bird played a white plastic alto at Massey Hall, didn't he?
  5. Ah yes, usually the instruction's booklets are in twentyfour different languages, so for a shaver you have a booklet, that is more or less, half the size of the first edition of "Moby Dick".
  6. Too easy suggestion after England reached the Rugby WC final
  7. I pay everything on line, or through my bank account, BUT they have to send me a paper receipt, usually three or four pages about what and why I payed. The bank have to send me a paper account of almost every operations, CC included. Plus, in Italy the warranty should report the receipt of payment. Even if you buy a sofa, that has a one year warranty, you should keep all this paper stuff for at least one year. And what about every damn electronic and electric stuff you have at home: fridge, stereo, washing machine, tv, computer, printer...you name it, instructions... and warranty I tried to keep low the shit of papers, but I lost.
  8. Both of you are right. I'll dance around the bonfire drinking beers!
  9. I am crazy because I am overwhelmed of papers: instructions, warranties, gas bills, car insurances, mobile phone bills, internet providers bills, bank account reports...and they grown, I suspect they reproduced themselves: the instruction of the Fridge fuck with the lastest gas bill...I want a gallons of petrol and a Zippo lighter
  10. Maybe she means Good Ole Boney M
  11. ...and if you tasted all of them, you'd be able to rate it, because your belly wouldn't allow your hand to reach the keyboard.
  12. I am not an expert about beer, but it looks like you're right. BTW there are too many breweries in the world to taste all their products.
  13. When someone post a Joe Pesci pict with some "fuck" in it is defintely a joke.
  14. You shouldn't fire a guy with such a nice hat.
  15. True, but I bet he'd gladly waste some of his precious time for a pleasing interview who shows how smart he is in his job. The sketch would have been more effective if the norvegians let him struts for a while, before the Obama and Clinton questions.
  16. What's the fuck of name is Joe Torre? Did he come from a fucking movies of Edward Fuck G. Robinson? Fuck Joe Torre! I don't give a damn 'bout Yankees since Di Maggio retired! BTW Who's Joe Torre?
  17. Exactly the kind of shot you'd find of other Nobel Prize Winners, can you imagine Kissinger carrying grocery?
  18. No shame, I gave up all Thomas Mann's books, Buddenbrok, Dr. Faustus, ecc., after 2 or 3 hundred pages...but I get through Moby Dick, the book I mean, not the movie
  19. You should I don't think so. Besides, I read some of her work years ago and didn't like it (that's not really an opinion, it's just how I felt about it). My former girlfriend had quite a few of her books - I don't remember any titles, though. Well, I liked them. I don't want to force you with a gun at your head.
  20. You should, she never wrote a dull book. The Fifth Child is one of my fave.
  21. I do wish we could chat longer, but... I'm having an old friend for dinner. Bye.
