  5. Got mine yesterday. Terrific stuff, thanks!
  6. Late in announcing here, but for the public knowledge, I PM'd yesterday afternoon Re: Harry Edison Mr. Swing Sealed Curtis Fuller "Imagination" Sealed
  7. Holy cow, that was fast. Thanks, Steve!!!!
  8. I can't resist the Morgan/Shorter. Sending PM. Edit: 2 PMs, included Kelly/Chambers.
  9. Got mine today, John. Thanks!!!
  10. Yes, I bought a few of his albums in the early/mid sixties - by 1970, poverty had forced me to flog them all, one of those decisions I don't regret. MG I've shed lots of Miles too, but still have the Prestige box and the Trane Columbia one. Don't listen to them much, though. I wonder if Clifford would have gone electric? Edit: The threadkilling comment above was in jest. I'm really, really glad that there's not something called "Electric Brownie" out there...
  11. Congratulations! Our second one's due in July. I'm looking forward to never sleeping again
  12. I'm not a big Miles guy myself- but back to the thread: did Axelrod produce those Adderley records? Edit: And while I'm familiar with Miles' stuff, my familiarity stops completely after In a Silent Way. Is that what you meant there, MG?
  13. Except for the "I couldn't afford it" part.
  14. Just went for $510 on eBay.
  15. Maybe it's a Columbia thing. The Complete Solo Monk is $9.99 too.
  16. Thanks, Al. Once held together by shrinkwrap, now it's just a fancy backless frame. Does this one win the prize for weird packaging or what? I don't think I've ever held anything that seemed this incomplete.
  17. I just got this used, and it has a metal frame box lid, card interior slipcase full of digipaks/discs, but no box bottom. Seems an odd way to package a set. Am I missing half of the actual box?
  18. Indeed, though I can't understand how can really appreciate covers on that small cd, you deserve something bigger and better, get a vinyl. Mine's just a tiny little pixel and light construct in my iPod, but it's cute
  19. PM Sent on: The Three Sounds Duke Pearson: Prarie Dog Roach/Blakey: Hard Drive
  20. I saw Fathead Newman play 'This I Dig of You' a few months back, and it was fantastic...
  21. I just downloaded the new Supergrass from the UK's 7Digital, since I couldn't use UK itunes, what with being in the US. 320MB, DRM free, and regional copyright laws don't apply. And they're official. Maybe their servers are on a boat?
  22. I hope that Concord doesn't plan to yank the Fantasy catalog from Emusic. But seeing as how the new Tift Merritt showed up there a day after its release, I reckon it's still a healthy relationship.
  23. The Mobe book is now available for pre-order at Amazon...
