  1. EDIT: Apparently so, and available on Amazon (organissimo affiliate link)
  2. Has this been reissued?
  3. Terrible news--a very sad day. RIP.
  4. Lon, what was the recent Pharoah side? I couldn't figure it out from the Verve website. Thanks. Well a Pharoah and Shepp came out recently, via the Verve LP by Request (sort of) series. They sound great.
  5. A VERY cool photo! Kudos to Ann! My new desktop!
  6. Allen--is this the CD you sent me with the Marsh recording (from your erstwhile Japanese distribution deal, if I recall correctly)?
  7. In Chris Albertson's absence, I feel compelled to post the following:
  8. Hey folks. As if leaving on vacation in a week wasn't enough, I've just discovered an opportunity to purchase a house without any real estate agent involvement. I'm wondering if anyone here has ever completed such a transaction, and if so, if you've got any advice (or warnings about pitfalls) to share. Thanks. Peter
  9. That would be great, J Larsen--if she has the time, I'd appreciate it! Thanks!
  10. Thanks for the info, Paul. At this point, I think I've got about five days in the Sapa area (trekking around some old hill towns) and four in/around Halong Bay. Should be relaxing!
  11. Sadly, it's already out of stock. They weren't able to fill my order.
  12. I'm (finally) taking a vacation, and am heading to Vietnam in about three weeks (with a stop to see friends in Hong Kong on the way). Has anyone spent time traveling around the Sapa and the Halong Bay areas? I'll have about ten days in northern Vietnam (flying in and out of Hanoi) and have narrowed my trekking down to these areas. I'd particularly enjoy any suggestions of off the beaten path places to go. Thanks.
  13. Great news, Paul--I couldn't be more thrilled for you. What an opportunity! Good luck with the move, and please continue to keep us posted on your progress!
  14. On a similar note--I know there was talk recently of ECM reissuing Maupin's Jewel in the Lotus. Has anyone heard anything more about this?
  15. Joe, is the disc you have called "The Doctor is In"? I've heard of it, but never heard it. I bet they'll be selling it at the show. Good one to pick up?
  16. I'm going to see the Turbanator tonight at the Triple Door in Seattle! He's playing with "The Cory Weeds Group". Looks like a saxophone player from Vancouver. Anybody heard or heard of him and his group?
  17. Thanks a lot, Jim--listening to the samples now. Monday w/Mondo Grosso is all I can gather. No credits given on the youtube site beyond that. But it sounds like Monday's music, and definitely her words. Let me do some asking around, and I'll get back with you. Ok - the song is "Star Suite III", and it's from the Mondo Grosso album MG4. And as I suspected, the cat who did the doll video is in no way connected w/the music.
  18. Jim--am I to infer this is a Monday Michiru song? If so, I want to get some stuff. Is this one available?
  19. Thanks, Lazaro--they sure seem to love it so far!
  20. Well, this should cause everyone to question my sanity, but I've done it again--got my black lab Luke a sister, Sidney. She's 11 weeks old, the same age Luke was when I got him. She doesn't seem to be freaking out as much as he did--although she was raised on a farm instead of in the city, and I think she misses the goats! It's been funny to watch them interact--she's going to kick his ass when he gets older!
