  1. Freddy Hubbard, "Here to Stay" (DMM Pressing--sounds pretty damn good, I have to say!)
  2. I get annoyed when the subject says, "FS: Rare OOP Blue Note CD" and the post is in fact a link to an auction. Simply changing the "FS" to a "FA" would solve this problem, I think.
  3. Why did I move?
  4. Isn't that the truth!
  5. I am totally there if this happens. What a hit it would be!
  6. Happy New Year! All the best to you and yours!
  7. Damnit, the last thing I need is more music right now, but I just ordered Turn Out the Stars from the collector's choice site. Wouldn't have wanted to miss that one...
  8. Cool--that makes sense. Thanks for clarifying. I guess I've only seen the kind where the speaker itself is on a rotating platter, like the horns on the top part of the cabinet in SS1's picture.
  9. Warning: Organ ignorance follows. Jim (or Soulstream, or...) I don't get it. Just when I thought I understood Leslies, I see this, and I'm thinking, "how the hell does that speaker rotate?" Am I totally missing something?
  10. Second and James? The "Ibiza Dinner Club?" Seems like an odd place for Hadley, but hey... Ibiza Dinner Club
  11. Damn, Jeff--it looks like that show was _last_ Thursday. How did I miss it?
  12. Along Came John (Patton, that is )--NY USA mono. Tasty.
  13. Spinning my NY USA stereo copy right now. Thanks for making me take this off the shelf, Mike!
  14. Nice! I've got a TD-160, and I absolutely love the table. It's a piece of art, AFAIC, and you'll spend hours being mesmerized by the ssllooww drop of the needle to the record. Sound is terrific, even though I'm running a (in my opinion) subpar ortofon cart. I'd like to switch for a Grado at some point. Only drawback to the TD-160 is the lack of auto-shutoff, a problem you won't have with this unit. Fell asleep one night listening to a minty copy of Parlan's Movin' and Groovin'...woke up around 3:00 a.m. and realized the needle had been tracking in the runout groove for about 5 hours! Have fun, report back when you get it and get it set up.
  15. Nice! Thanks, Big Al!
  16. It's the Oxycontin talking. You are one sick puppy.
  17. A nice Albarino for a hot labor day afternoon in the sun:
  18. The pleasure is mine!
  19. 30% off one item Enjoy!
  20. I would love to see this reissued.
  21. They would also do well to get rid of the plastic ferns!
