Philly n Elvin: Together! (atlantic)
jazzbo replied to chewy-chew-chew-bean-benitez's topic in Artists
Overall, I've always been a bit disappointed listening to this date. May try it again sometime. . . . -

Thanks for pointing out that cduniverse had that as a preorder. I put one in my cart. . .
-
Maybe they will. Seems to me as if Mosaic is steadily getting some of it out. Without their own reissue staff, Mosaic licensing may look like easier money, small change, but small change that comes easy.
-
The label is a "cd only reissue label". . . . Anyway, they have reissued a number of other lps, jazz mainly from Atlantic and subsidiaries that I recall. Their website: http://www.woundedbird.com/

I was lucky. . . I managed to pilfer some of my wife's "prophylactic" antibiotics as soon as I couldn't deny that I had it, and that took care of it in about a week. It was nasty!

Many many more!

Superhero Movies We've yet to See from Hollywood
jazzbo replied to jazzbo's topic in Miscellaneous - Non-Political
Metal Men! Odd. . . would be fun to see but odd to think anyone would get the ball rolliing. Plastic Man would be cool. Indeed. How about a "Blackhawk" movie? That would be cool. -
Manymanymany more happy ones!
-
I'm running iTunes with an external hard drive. . . no problems so far at all.

No, sorry, don't want to watch Eddie. Yeah, animate the mofo. -
It's going around the Austin state employment world. I DID catch the respiratory and sinus bug that blitzed through (and somehow managed to keep my wife from catching it) and I'm doing my best to steer clear of this one.

Those 20s tracks have sounded good wherever I've heard them (the ones I've got to spin over and over are King Jazz cds with Davies transfers. They're just that good as far as source goes. I think that JSP could get this done with from four to six box sets depending on the parameters they use to describe "complete". . . .

Recent Down Loads And Additions From E - Music
jazzbo replied to Soulstation1's topic in Miscellaneous Music
I'm thinking of blowing my whole month on the Dexter Gordon Prestige box. . . . I have a few of the single releases, and don't want to buy the actual box set. . . . -
It's a little more "hippy" than "funky". . . but I like it.
-
Thanks, I won't turn it down! I may see it turned into MP3 at speedingarrow though. . .there are precedents.
-
I'm just not going to make the shn attempt after so much agony I've had in the past with my Macs and I in the attempts. Looks like good stuff indeed!

Which Mosaic Are You Enjoying Right Now?

HRS Mosaic disc 2 -
I hear ya! Was so happy this came out from Japan on cd this year!
-
Happy Holidays Bill! Awesome! I posted this over at speedingarrow to see if they can magically make some MP3s appear. . .
-
My brother has had this for years. Not all from the Half Note if I recollect correctly. All the material has been out elsewhere on bootlegs from Black Label etc. Not great sound on the lps or elsewhere.
-
Definitely check out the Dragon label if you haven't! Great material. I just broke down and ordered (from ejazzlines.com) the Lars Gullin Dragons Vols. 6,7,8 and 9. I have most of this on vinyl but want the Dragon cds.

Understandable. . . though she's really not my type. (I'm a brunette lover). Music is worth having though! I don't know of any immediate US plans.
-
Boy. . . I definitely don't qualify for anal compulsive! I rarely clean/cleaned lps or styli. . . but. . . I've never really had great playback equipment.
-
Sounds like I should try reading Vol. 6! I respect that she's ending the series. . . seems sensible.
