  1. Well, I've had SET amps for about nine years now. . . I've been pretty much a teatotaler the last decade, so maybe that explains it.
  2. I preordered it. I'm a sucker for official product of the 1965 to 1978 years.
  3. Really? I admit I like this more than any other recent Shorter. . . but don't recollect it being that great sounding or spellbinding. vive la difference!
  4. Interestingly enough, I'm enjoying the previously unreleased material more than the lp material!
  5. Nobody! Noman!
  6. My previous versions of this material are on scratched party lp and cassettes. . . . So. .. YES.
  7. How did I miss this! Yo! Many many mo'!
  8. Yes, I did. Very nicely done.
  9. MANY MORE HAPPY ONES!
  10. I'll agree with you about Strays. What an amazing mind! What an interesting personality! What a WRITER!
  11. Well, I agree and disagree. Yes, there is a familiarity and a repeatig theme or two. But. . . I am really enjoyig this set. Have gone through it twice. Oddly. . . I thik I like the standards a hair more. But, being an enjoyer of solo piano, and being in a mood lately to be soothed by spacing out listening to interesting solo piano, this set has been delivering.
  12. Complete Blue Note Monk material Complete Herbie Nichols Material Complete Art Hodes Material CAN'T go to a desert island without those.

Someone should ask them. (Not me. Last time I asked, not too long ago in a geological scheme of things, it was "no plans.")
  14. The Armstrong and Astaire actually looked like good comps; I ordered those and the Geri Allen.
  15. Added are two new "Songbook" titles from Legacy of Armstrong and Astaire (seems to draw from RCA and Sony titles), the latest Geri Allen. . . and the Essential Michael Bolton! Okay, forget the Bolton, just kidding, honest!
  16. He's busy tweaking some problems with the fall line of running shorts. . . .
  17. Yeah Clem, I've had several cds with inserts showing A Drum is A Woman with catalog number and everything. I'm out of the campaigning Sony and Mosaic game; last time I did ask about this title it was "no plans."

Yes, an Andorran will doubtless surface. I've already a US lp, and have it transferred to cdr. I'm interested in an official expanded version from Sony though. . . . Maybe one day.

PS: There's a Claude Boliing version of this one. I'm really not a fan of Boling versions. . . but this one is a good one!

So did you hear any extra material? Or just the lp material? I've got the lp. LOVE it. I may seek out the French cd (though I know it won't sound llke the Schaap produced one did).
  22. Hilvershum is probably the hardest to find of the three, but I enventually found a (Japanese) cd from Europe.
  23. I've actually got all the Freddie McCoy lps on Prestige, so I'm not clamoring for that. I'd be down with an Ammons box of some sort. And a McLean box; I really like his Prestige work and would like to see it get some. . . prestige. I'd like to see a box set of all the Cannonball Adderley produced Riversides.
