And the two cd compilation may not be the way to go . . . if you dig the overdubs!
(Okay, when you're one of the few you have to speak up now and then!)
Here's one I discovered today, very Texan:
YOU CAN PUT YOUR BOOTS IN THE OVEN BUT THAT
DON'T MAKE THEM BISCUITS
Definitely reminds me of the present Administration
But he THOUGHT that was what you wanted to hear.
The more I think of this the more ridiculous it seems. Especially since a European edition is already out.
"Very interestink. . .but stupid."
Ah, I guess it's a good thing I made two separate preorders then, as I've had the Pepper for two days now. . . two good days!
Though if I had my druthers, the Hill would have been the first to arrive!
Ha, that's funny because I have both the JSP and the Columbia (and also the material on King Jazz!) I prefer the Columbia by a hair. It's fascinating how differently things sound to people. . . it's system related in part I'm pretty sure!
My set DID arrive last night.
I like the sound, but I don't really feel it is much of an improvement over the earlier cds by Addey. I really have the feeling that had Addey had the job to redo these they'd be better.
Got the two new Water reissues as well and they sound FANTASTIC!
My last order was for the book to the complete Kryzstof Komeda box set (with a cd of Astigmatic included, great deal) and for Jobim's Wave on A&M (kept holding off for a remaster but decided not to; turns out the early digital cd was remastered and mastered by RVG and sounds great!)
