Darn! John A. came up in a search for "***** Testa" so I was sure I had our man!

I think S has been quite respectful, explaining himself when questioned, and when introducing "evangelical" material not being pushy or persistant. I wouldn't exactly call it "missionary" . . . . How much of this cd is SERMON and how much is MUSIC? I'm desirious myself of more music than sermon. . . . I have a number of sermons on cd and a whole lot more in my personal experience. . . . Could say I have my fill.

I've got most all of them going back to #9 or so. . . . But I don't get excited about them any longer. Partly it's because I've become a jaded collector. Partly because I talk about Mosaic more and more over the years on board and in email, and because the website now gives me the breaking news that the brochures used to. . . . I can really remember the excitement of getting my first Mosaics, and the way I used to just pore over each brochure. . . !

I think you'll dig it Tony, I feel pretty much the same way about Lovano, though I have to say that I WANT to like his music a lot (especially after meeting him briefly here in Austin, he's one very nice and warm person to meet!), I don't often really get excited about his recordings. This one is just special, AND I think that you will revel in the sound on your new system (it's the type of recording that really serves the music; sound is excellent).

I want my gorilla name to be "Klactoveedsedstene"!

By the way. . . I've been sort of ignoring Motian on this one. . . he seems to be just the tiniest bit out of synch with everyone else, as if he's just a bit rushed while the others are laying back. . . . I sort of wish another drummer had been given the call, but he's not hurting it much and he's easy enough to just not concentrate on.

I can't say that I smell him, but sometimes his avatar makes me thirsty (but not for beer).

I'm not believing in either place so I'm not able to respond. I have heard a few sides by the Rev. and liked them. . . probably need to hear more all in good time!

Yeah Matthew, the stereo road is another one. . . . Decware is like this board and the BN board to me, I have had to get their stuff. . . I now have an all Decware (and PS Audio system power conditioning, cords and interconnects, and Mapleshade rack and isolation components) and LOVE my listening! But it was an expensive road to travel down! That player is sounding better day by day. . . .

There's been a LITTLE discussion of this material on the board, not much. I preordered this set and really like it. I'm a Wingy fan and a Pee Wee fan and it was a must. I actually had nearly all the material on other cds, and got the set anyway. . . I'm loony like that. The music is GREAT if you like the early material, if you like Pee Wee. . . . The stuff with Pee Wee IS my favorite Prima stuff, though I like some of the stuff before and after as well, I like Prima up through the thirties fine, very jazzy, very New Orleans-y. The Wingy stuff is great as well, some wonderful sidemen and I'm a fan of Wingy's singing and playing. The pairing of these two groups of recordigns WORKS in my opinion. On top of that, the sound is very good. When I first got it I felt that the sound was a little bright. Since then my system has changed and that is not a problem.
