We have had about 13" in the last 24 hours, and I've attacked it with shovel three times, kept it to an accessible and exit-able status with effort. Actually, I confess it feels good. Now I have earned a break to listen.
-
Starting off with Art Blakey and the Jazz Messengers “3 Blind Mice, Volume 1” Blue Note cd.
-
Eliane Elias “Quietude” Candid cd
-
Yes, I'm aware. But he did not have anywhere near as big a role in "Straight No Chaser" than in "Bird," that was the only point I was trying to make. Right now This disc is too short, because it’s so wonderful and should be so much longer! Mario Adnet “Para Gershwin e Jobim”

Pepper Adams “Urban Dreams” Palo Alto cd With Jimmy Rowles, George Mraz, Billy Hart

-
“Stan Getz in Stockholm” Verve cd Getz was possibly never prettier sounding than on this European jaunt. Nice music to watch gentle snowfall by.
-
It's a very different movie than "Bird," and I don't really see Eastwood's "hand" here.
-
Ir'a really Charlotte Zwerin's documentary, but Eastwood's company was involved. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thelonious_Monk:_Straight,_No_Chaser

Duke Ellington “Jazz Party in Stereo” Columbia stereo LP Timeless beauty in these grooves.

Waiting for the storm to come. . . we haven’t had much at all so far. Hope we don’t lose power! That’s my biggest fear. I’m stocked up and will deal with the shoveling in shifts. . . just hope to keep the household calm. Starting off with a nice Eliane Elias cd, “Everything I Love” on Blue Note. 300×296 8.84 KB

Duplicate Shipment From Overseas Label - How Would You Handle It?
jazzbo replied to Ken Dryden's topic in Miscellaneous Music
To my way of thinking you are entitled to do with these what your will and conscience allows. I like their releases--the sound quality is really really good and the music is great. -
Now on to this great UHQCD from 2019 Wynton Kelly “Piano Interpretations By Wynton Kelly” Blue Note Japan
-
-5 degrees out. . . Snow expected tomorrow, but none today, though some wouldn’t surprise me the way weather forecasting has fallen a bit short lately! I decided to start the day off with Grant Green “Idle Moments,” the Blue Note 85th Anniversary UHQCD from Japan. Sure sounds nice!

No snow overnight! But it got cold. . . down to 15 degrees now, and that’s the HIGH, with it lowering to 0 degrees by 8:00 p.m. Sigh. Cheering myself up with Barney Wilen, “French Ballads,” the excellent expanded cd reissue from a handful of years ago. Such killer music. 500×500 80 KB The original cover:
