I could wish this concert was better recorded, but I’m happy that it sounds better on this Octave/Mack Records cd than an earlier cd and the LP i had–due I bet in large part to the use of the Plangent Process. I think this is the last live concert of Garner’s recorded and released. And it sure is a good one. Erroll Garner “The Campus Concert”
  17. Count Basie's first recording for Pablo Records, a jam that is interesting in that Irving Ashby of Nat Cole Trio fame is on board. Great horn players too.
