Listening now to two newly arrived Teagarden LPs from a four LP lot of Jackson I got very cheaply from eBay. First up was a mono LP of “Think Well of Me”–I’ve had the stereo on LP and cd, but never heard the mono and it’s a great mix, and sounded great. Now I’m listening to “Mis’ry and the Blues” one of my favorites–I’ve never had it on LP only on cd, and it’s a great sound stereo copy. Now I need to decide of I want to splurge on a (more expensive) mono copy. I’ll keep an eye out I’m sure I’ll find one eventually I can’t resist. I’m a Teagarden fanatic, more so as time passes.

I have all I have ever encountered by him, which is nearly all written or recorded. I once pleaded with Michael Cuscuna to collect all this into a Mosaic set. His one line response: "Lon, you are out of your mind!"

Right now, another unsung vocalist that I really enjoy Babs Gonzales. He was a complete goof. But he could also deliver straight and emotionally as he does often enough on this LP. I feel very much the same way Joe, though the next two had some great moments. And I'll add the complete Basement Tapes and Planet Waves. Planet Waves still blows me away, best of Bob and The Band together.
