  1. Charles Mingus "Mingus in Europe, Vol. 2" Enja/Solid Records cd Japan I just love the composition "Orange was the Color of her Dress Then Blue Silk" and there's a great performance of it here.
  2. Repeating a listen to this one. . . such a nice release! Bill Evans "Another Time--The Hilversum Concert" Resonance Records cd
  3. What amazon is showing is a Japanese cd version.
  4. Bill Evans "Another Time--The Hilversum Concert" Resonance Records cd
  5. Fabiano Do Nascimento "Preludio" Not Now cd Yet another great album from this exciting guitarist.
  6. Freddie Hubbard "The Hub of Hubbard" MPS cd, 2009 Sounds a lot nicer than the 2016 cd.
  7. Bill Potts and his Orchestra "Bye Bye Birdie" Colpix/EMI Japan cd Nice one.
  8. Yeah well. . . Wayne progressed himself right into music that really doesn't speak to me. I hate to say it but I reach for Wayne's 'eighties and beyond with increasing less frequency, and appreciate the material Tony produced more at this time. Just me and my tastes.
  9. Tony Williams "Civilization" Blue Note cd Interesting to revisit these Wiliams cds. I overplayed them when new and then left them lie fallow for a spell.
  10. Santana "Caravan Serai" Mobile Fidelity Labs SACD Like it's been too long since I had a bowl of Wolf Brand chili, it's been too long since I spun this one.
  11. Joyce "Gafieriera Moderna"
  12. I've had some bad luck with that outfit so I don't order from them any longer.
  13. "The Complete Joe Henderson Blue Note Studio Sessions" disc 2
  14. Amazon has it listed for about 69.
  15. Chick Corea and Origin "Live at the Blue Note" disc 1 (of 6)
  16. Universal. Universal Japan has issued a few cds this century.
  17. I also have those two pre-ordered, but they are now linked in an order with the Alice Coltrane titles which were moved to July . . . so I won't be getting them til then.
  18. Sneaking one in while Lucinda naps. Duke Ellington and his Orchestra "Ellington Indigos" Impex gold cd Fantastic music and sound.
  19. I really enjoyed re-listening to this Sal Nistico cd. . . Sal Nistico "Live at the Douglas Beach House '81" Followed by this, which is a bit hit and miss for me, but when it hits it's so good it hurts. Ran Blake/Jeanne Lee "Free Standards-Stockholm 1966" Fresh Sound cd And now, fresh from the mailbox, Gary Bartz and Nu Troop "Live in Bremen 1975" disc 1--which I am really enjoying.
  20. Headphones allows me watching and listening hours I would not get otherwise, and my ears are fine. I have some very good headphone playback and disappear into the music sometimes, often even surprised to do so. Many early stereo recordings I enjoy in mono. I dig that Atlantic Coltrane box set, and the Miles Davis box set, the Dylan box set, and the Beatles box set and. . .lots of non-box set items such as Teagarden on Roulette and Monk and Messengers. . . many more. Mono is very nice, especially when you aren't tied to the listening sweet spots.
  21. I'm grateful I was able to be completely vaccinated and have been for nearly two months. It's wide open here in Ohio; in the area around me I see almost every adult unmasked, and yet less than 44 percent of Ohioans able to be vaccinated have had at least one shot.
  22. Sean Kahn featuring Hermeto Pascoal "Palmares Fantasy"
  23. Miles Davis "Someday my Prince will Come" Analogue Productions SACD Ignore this album for a while and when revisited it really packs a punch of enjoyable listening.
  24. Also given away each week is a complete ticket prepaid to an Ohio state university to an Ohio teen registered in the lottery and vaccinated--including room and board and textbooks I believe. That is a really nice thing. Initially the lottery increased vaccination numbers by surprising percentages. That momentum has unfortunately dramatically slowed. We're probably getting very close to being down to the many who just are not going to be vaccinated plain and simple no matter what.
