Haven't seen that, don't have Netflix. My neice is a beautiful woman and so damned sweet. Gives me hope for the human race.
Edit to add: I looked the actress up. Some similarities, especially the eyes, but not a close match. Both are stunning.
Thank you. Last night he was moved from the hospital to the "skilled nursing" wing of his assisted-living facility for "rehabilitation." He is sounding much better and we're optimistic that in (an unspecified length of) time he can return to his apartment. Hopefully we dodged a bullet; m siblings and I are NOT ready to lose him yet.

So far I've only listened to two discs, I'm rationing it out and mixing it in with a number of other things I want to hear after about 9 days without being able to listen due to power issues et al and I've listened to one of the original Atlantic albums plus alternates and the trio with Kotick and Motian. Will say this: mastering is EXCELLENT, and those two discs have very good music.
Right now: Phil Woods "Quartet/Quintet 20th Anniversary Set" Mosaic Records cd box set, disc 3
I like the Most albums on Bethlehem, including the one with Mann. This is a label I like more and more as I listen to the releases. I'm glad I grabbed almost every Solid Records Japan issue as they came out.
"Phil Woods Quartet/Quintet 20th Anniversary Set" box set from Mosaic Records, disc 2, Quartet material
followed by
Wolfgang Lackerschmid/Chet Baker "Quintet Sessions 1979"
Sound is okay, not really that much more--oddly Gomez is nicely picked up but the drums are all over the place. Some really nice playing.
Bill Evans "Live at Ronnie Scott's" Resonance Records 2 cd set, disc 1
I knew this was going to happen. I just need to hear that Basie groove. Chose this one, and there may be more. . . .
Count Basie/Joe Williams "Just the Blues" Roultette Records/Warner Japan cd
This most recent series of Routlette Records reissues from Japan sounds fantastic.
