  2. So far I've only listened to two discs, I'm rationing it out and mixing it in with a number of other things I want to hear after about 9 days without being able to listen due to power issues et al and I've listened to one of the original Atlantic albums plus alternates and the trio with Kotick and Motian. Will say this: mastering is EXCELLENT, and those two discs have very good music. Right now: Phil Woods "Quartet/Quintet 20th Anniversary Set" Mosaic Records cd box set, disc 3
  3. Joe Castro "Passion Flower for Doris Duke" disc 5
  4. I like the Most albums on Bethlehem, including the one with Mann. This is a label I like more and more as I listen to the releases. I'm glad I grabbed almost every Solid Records Japan issue as they came out.
  5. "Phil Woods Quartet/Quintet 20th Anniversary Set" box set from Mosaic Records, disc 2, Quartet material followed by Wolfgang Lackerschmid/Chet Baker "Quintet Sessions 1979"
  6. I do. I like much of his more recent more than some of his earlier work.

  16. My guess might be. . . well I won't say it but it's been "problematic" in many jazz careers. His was an amazing talent.

  23. Wow, today we have power so heat and water too and the internet and cable have been on for 16 continuous hours, maybe they will stay! Seems like a luxury resort to us now! Listened to this new arrival, I like it a lot. Mátyás Szandai/Hamid Drake/Mihály Dresch/Lafayette Gilchrist "Sharing the Shed" Followed by an old favorite, comfort food for my anxious soul. Baby Face Willette "Stop and Listen" Blue Note Japan "24 bit by RVG" cd
  24. Thanks David. He has fallen twice this week so far, which is very uncharcteristic, but the main symptom other than extreme fatique has been gastro-intestinal, and his lungs have been examined and seem fine. Promising so far. My brother has finally become symptom free and will return to work on Tuesday.
  25. Thanks. He has been on a good diet for the last year to support kidney health--half of the week he eats vegetarian, all the week he eats very low sodium, healthy choices.
