  1. If I get my Ouija board out this weekend I'll ask.
  2. Yes. Just don't ask me when it comes out. I think they have a supersecret Magic 8 Ball they use to plan their release program.
  3. The mixes are different. In a sense I view the original mix as a sort of processed "rock album" mix, and the remix as a more "unfutzed with jazz" mix. I would possibly prefer the remix if I hadn't been listening to this release since '71, and then the fact that it is mixed the way it is was one reason it sucked me in and has held me prisoner all this time.
  4. Granted. In that case it has great potential!
  5. I spent decades with the original mix and I prefer it, clearly. I have very good vinyl and cd versions of the mix, I do want the SACD. This release is one of the cornerstones of my collection, and listened to often.
  6. Apparently, according to the discussions I've read, YES.
  7. I agree, I have the two episodes aired Saturday yet to watch, nice series. Poor Rubicon! They haven't even released it on disc, which is a big shame, I want to watch that again. I got caught up on The Bridge, Falling Skies and Halt and Catch Fire. "Okay" tv.
  8. Falling We fall, and we fall hard, Landing on a hopeful cushion Of our past, our present, our future. I believe I revel I pray in gratitude. Now I can at last open my eyes Looking forward.
  9. Reports are positive on the Steve Hoffman forum where this sort of thing is talked about a lot. I'm waiting for the SACD, it's the original mix and that is what I want on SACD.
  10. Happy Birthday! Many happy returns!
  11. I recommend cdjapan.
  12. I'd say chances are very slim we'd see any of those.
  13. "Black Box" two hour season finale. Was good.
  14. Yeah, I used to be retired, then I took on this sixty plus hour a week (non-paying) job of keeping my parents in their home. My jazz and rock etc. listening hours dwindled significantly. A new girlfriend jettisoned even more of them. But. . . I can listen to classical because Dad wants to listen to it as much as possible. So these sets get listened to.
  15. Did a price comparison on the Bream as it has been on my radar. . . . amazon.it and importcds basically have the same price so I went with the latter.
  16. "Black Box" from 7/10 (I have a lot of things on my DVR due to my 16 days of vacation!) Man, Dr. Black really does remind me of my gal (who I just spent a wonderful three day weekend with). This week I hope to catch up on "Longmire" and "The Bridge." And maybe try "The Strain."
  17. Sue me, I like those Turrentines, and the new masterings sound very nice.
  18. Awesome! i know it's not "planned" but i'm hoping for a blu-ray or (ugh) DVD release. Next Dave's Picks will be a good one.
  19. Glad you got it Peter! I almost sold you mine, I just don't really dig Pepper past the fifties and he's not my favorite before then. Maybe one day I'll like him more.
  20. R.I.P. Johnny, you deserve a peaceful rest. What a player! He had that Texas thang in there, always. He made me want to buy a Firebird. One day.
  21. It always surprises me to see so much talk about B&W as I've never warmed to their speakers. I guess I just haven't heard them in the right systems. I've discovered many believe these "Mid Bass Modules" actually work better than subwoofers in many systems with small speakers: http://www.hsuresearch.com/products/mbm-12.html
