  1. I would not want to be without "Booker Little and Friend" on Bethlehem (also reissued later as "VIctory and Sorrow"). With Julian Priester on trombone, George Coleman on tenor, Don Friedman on piano, Reggie Workman on bass, and Pete LaRoca on drums.
  2. Read it backwards.
  3. My first few listenings to this disc and the alternate have me saying "It's not really an essential alternate." As noted above it's quite similar to the selected and released version.
  4. Many many happy happy returns!
  5. CONGRATULATIONS MIKE.
  6. Well, that's the main aspect of the show I very much liked, I just couldn't get beyond those other elements. Perhaps on disc I can fast forward through all that, may try that at some time, I do see a lot of value in the show, just can't get past that vivid aspect.
  7. I watched the first few episodes and I just couldn't bear seeing one creative way to murder someone after another presented as some form of performance art. I actually liked aspects of the series a lot, but just couldn't bear watching the glorification of weird murder (how it struck me). At some point I may try it again. Walking Dead. . . again I might like the struggle to survive and the attemtp to keep human interaction and community together, but zombies. . . I've always hated zombies no matter how they have been dressed and re-dressed. I'll probably never watch that series. Finished watching this week's Once Upon a Time. That show is a hoot.
  8. I avoid both of those! Watched today the second episode of Resurrection, and last night's Comic Book Men.
  9. Was listening to that Saturday and yesterday. Joe South's guitar really gets me!
  10. Very 'Seventies big band funk smooth jazz but JIMMY PONDER omg Jimmy Ponder was the real deal. RIP Jimmy.
  11. I like the rusty case too. By my calculations it would cost 64.10 total to the US (today's conversion rate).
  12. OOOH! I'll just pretend that red is really a rust red. .. .
  13. Have a great one Conrad.
  14. This week's Community, with appearances by Vince Giligan, Gina Gershon and Paul Williams.
  15. This week's Suits, Elementary and Vikings. . . . As well as this week's episode of my guilty pleasure, Millionaire Matchmaker. This show is so entertaining.
  16. WORD
  17. Jerry, come on back. We need you.
  18. Almost all of them were listed before. . . I had them on my watch list. . . Yeah, they're there on the website, but they don't yet have them offered for sale (I will be getting emails when they do arrive. But I already have the ones I placed on my list.)
  19. ebay is an option for most titles.
  20. A big box of Bethlehem arrived today. Sure was fun unwrapping them all. I put this on first though, which is from an early batch and luckily I got one in the mail this week. Why didn't I get this title somehow before? It's wonderful. A peppier, bit more modern All Stars set up that swings and burns.
  21. I just take it as dished out if I have the time, and I don't do streaming so I still give the networks a chance. It's a good substitute for smypathetic company and Lord knows I can use that.
  22. By their definition I am way more than a savant. Very unfortunate choice of words, I would never claim to be really knowledgable about music, as the more I learn about music the more I feel that there is so much more to know and the less I am certain of what I know. I'm way beyond what they define as far as monetary and time investiment, so I must be either a musical "fool" or "stimulator of musical recording and musical playback industries."
