Another lovely cool morning. Managed to sleep late by bribing the dachshund. Starting the day off in a Louis Armstrong vibe.

I’m definitely in the mood for this one! And it delivers. Milt Jackson is featured, and on occasion Cornell Dupree’s Telecaster steals the show.
Enjoying the early morning cool while it lasts! (Almost said “and quiet” but it’s generally quiet here round the clock–so nice to have so few neighbors and all these lovely trees).
Keith Jarrett “Sun Bear Concerts” disc 6, “Encores” (which were not included in the original LP box set).
Listening to this one again. In part because I was rudely interrupted by kitchen modding reality mid-way, and partly because there is a lot going on here--it's no wonder Dex and Jug are/have been/will be wiping sweat.

Hard to believe it has been fifteen years since this was released. One of these days I should watch the DVD that is included with this cd!
Ha! Luckily no real need for a propane tank. A generator would be nice. Maybe if a ship ever comes in--we have no intentions of ever moving from our sylvan wonderland.
Having a generator is a good thing. We have vowed to get one if we have a repeat of a few weeks without power but since those two instances we haven't had a repeat (we live in a forested area and after trimming trees that caused those power outages the outages have halted. . . for now). The bad thing about power outages is that when there are really heavy wind storms or really heavy snow storms that cause the outage the power company takes care of the populated areas FIRST and our neighborhood is very sparsely housed and is taken care of. . . last. But overall the advantages of our neighborhood outweigh that limitation.
