  1. I have no morals.
  2. I wasn't that interested until your correction but now that actually sounds quite good, can't get enough of Barney.
  3. I received the CD yesterday, thanks very much. The Gatton-fest has just begun. Just wondering, if I get myself a Telecaster, would I'll be able to play like this???
  4. Sent you another PM during the week, don't know if you received it. Cheers.
  5. 7/4, not only have I never played one, I've never even seen one!!! I'd love to have a go on one though, just because. What I meant was as that particular ES-150 was his main axe during his prime years, it must have been one hell of a guitar. I mean he must have had to have it refretted after those Storyville sessions with Stan the Man Getz, which oddly enough, no one has mentioned in this thread. What's the tune they play again that's actually faster than Bird's "Koko", or something to that effect. I think it was mentioned in the Getz Biog. Small bit of info. on Jimmy here.
  6. The Complete Atlantic Recordings of Lennie Tristano, Lee Konitz & Warne Marsh Thanks for the good vibes, Vibes.
  7. The Tristano Mosaic arrived today, 100% as advertised, it looks brand new, thanks a million for sending it so quickly. Recommended seller and all that good stuff, Cheers.
  8. I love the pictures of that ES-150, what a great axe!!! Been enjoying this one, via the Brookmeyer Select: And this one, although it's not on the Select, it should have been, it just should: Would love to hear this, as Zoot is in the mix, it would probably be as good as the stuff with Getz: This one can't be too bad either:
  9. Sent you a PM yesterday re my previous PM.
  10. Sent you a PM last week, don't know if you got it???
  11. Or even contact Mosaic to buy a copy of the Set itself.
  12. ....just in case anyone out there has one they would like to get rid of, maybe they're bored with it etc, etc...
  13. Sent you a second PM re the stuff I asked for, don't know if you received it.
  14. As this is now a readily available RVG, everyone who doesn't have it should check it out, it really should be called "Zoot Sims with Jutta Hipp", he's just all over this, pretty much dominates it, in a good way. I love the cover as well.
  15. Got this myself from Mr Tannio recently:
  16. 17. Me too on the general niceness of the "Live/Evil" SACD.
  18. garthsj, Fresh Sounds did this one if you're interested. I have it, nothing earth shattering but decent enough.

The only time that Sticky Fingers/Exile on Main Street were re-mastered to my knowledge was when Virgin had the rights to the Stones post 1970 recordings in the 90's. They both sound excellent, to my ears anyway, look for the Virgin label and Bob Ludwigs name on the back of the CD and you have the right ones.
  21. PM sent on these 2; Young ,Lester/Eldredge/Edison – Laughin’ to Keep from Cryin’ (Verve) $5 Young ,Lester – The Kansas City Sessions (Commodore) 22 cuts $5
  22. Well it looks like this one might not be around too long, it's already on backorder; Due to higher than anticipated demand this set is on backorder. Expected in stock April 14th. Good for Mosaic.
  23. Cheers Jazzbo, I'm looking forward to this one. Have you had a chance to check out the alt. takes???
