  1. You have to use the file attachment functions in the reply window, and then browse for the picture on your floppy drive (usually a:).
  2. "How could she marry that smelly fish, after all I did for her?"
  3. Be sure to download and print Couw's booklets, which add some important discographical info missing in the booklets that come with the ZYX sets.
  4. No, but the same recording (which would have fitted on one CD) was also released by Jazz Door (without authorization I assume) on "Fat Time": http://www.plosin.com/milesAhead/Disco.aspx?id=FatTime http://www.jpc.de/jpcng/jazz/detail/-/hnum...azz/rsk/hitlist (audio clips)
  5. The thanks go to Ellery Eskelin who posted the info on Jazz Corner http://jazzcornertalk.com/speakeasy/showth...?t=11337&page=5
  6. From David Liebman's latest newsletter: http://www.upbeat.com/lieb/intervals/2006/
  7. Good to see some rare MPS albums on CD.
  8. Brilliant
  9. Hans, you have to click "Add reply", not "New topic" http://www.organissimo.org/forum/index.php...c=3849&st=29000
  10. Congratulations Agustin for making Santos Inocentes an internationally celebrated day Even in Korea!
  11. Maybe this will help (I searched for "ipod" on videohelp.com): http://www.videohelp.com/tools?tool=Videora_iPod_Converter (tool already mentionned by vibes) http://www.videohelp.com/tools?tool=778 http://www.geocities.com/jk2000_at_pa_dot_net/avi_iPod.htm
  12. RAM is more important than CPU power. Some budget laptops with Celeron processor come with only 256MB RAM. Be sure you can get it upgraded to 512MB. How much hard drive space you need depends entirely on what you use the laptop for. Low price laptops usually come with 30-40GB drives, which should be enough unless you download lots of music (or worse, movies) or use it as a recording machine.
  13. A WTO ruling making copyright protection extension necessary in Europe? Do you have more details about that? (Art. 14.5 of the TRIPs agreement only sets a minimum of 50 years: http://www.wto.org/english/docs_e/legal_e/...ips_04_e.htm#1)
  14. I would pay $20 more per set if they were all remastered by Malcolm Addey (instead of Ron McMaster).
  15. The strange thing with this Membran series is that they reissue original albums, but without the original covers and liner notes. The reason is that the copyright on the cover artwork and texts is still in force, as it expires 70 years after the death of the creator/author. (The compositions on the discs are also protected until 70 years after the death of the composer (and the composer is entitled to getting royalties though the national collecting societies), but the performance recording itself is protected by neighbouring rights, which last 50 years from the date of recording)
  16. This seems to be material that is in the public domain in Europe (pre 1955). So don't expect the reissues to come from the original master tapes. The concept seems odd, with the generic faux-authentic covers. Are these reissues of original albums of the time? As far as cheap reissues go, I rather prefer the Definitive or Proper approach of putting as much music on the CD as possible.
  17. Mine says Shipped
  18. Frappr has now added a forum to each map. This could be useful when this forum is down and you have forgotten the official downtime forum's address. The Organissimo Forum map is not in the Frappr directory, to avoid unwanted guests. You will have to bookmark or remember it's address: www.frappr.com/organissimo
  19. True, this doesn't make sense at all. He is offering bootlegs of material that is in print on a legit label, which is supposedly paying royalties to the Monk estate.
  20. These seem to be 128kbs MP3s (at that bitrate, 1 minute = 1MB). For the price, they should offer 192kbs files.
  21. Besides the risk of having entries in Wikipedia which are inaccurate or deliberately wrong, there is also the danger of users committing copyright infringements by copying text from books: Free Encyclopedia Wikipedia.de Has Copyright Issues (Deutsche Welle 29.11.2005)
  22. Hi Tjobbe, As an administrator of the map, I can edit or delete user entries, but I cannot move the sticker by hand. So I don't think it is possible to correct the exact location of the sticker.
  23. It's fun to go to Satellite mode, zoom in to the top third of the scale and then jump from user to user by clicking on a name on the list. The picture takes a while to load each time.
  24. You can also switch to Satellite mode and see Brownie sitting in his garden
  25. "Cellar Door Sessions 19 by Dav"? Is that a BDSM video? Shall I cancel it?
