They still have LOTS of "Deal" albums where it's a flat $5.99 (+/- $1.00 or 2) regardless of # of tracks.

FWIW, "Amsterdam After Dark" (on Timeless) has been available for a while on eMusic. Don't know its availability in physical form, though. Anyone know if this new set of releases has been remastered, too?

I've seen her a couple of times. Puts on a good show, too. Definitely a thumbs up for "Broken English".

In retrospect, I'm not sure I "get" him. The Fly show I saw was good, but his soloing seems to lack fire. I just saw him last weekend with the Billy Hart Quartet and when it was his turn to solo, I found myself waiting for him to finish. He seemed pretty dis-engaged, too.

Thanks everyone. Just got back from NY and been mostly off the grid. My phone ain't smart enough for much web duty. Had a great time - saw Billy Hart Quartet at Iridium and Tom Harrell Quintet at the VV. Both good shows but overall, Harrell's band smoked Hart's (even WITH Ethan Iverson & Mark Turner).

True. No more re-downloads. But with UMG, there is a wealth of new jazz available. I'm still in for the time being.

Mixed feelings about this. Some key indie rock labels have left, but the monstrous new jazz stuff is overwhelming. Not crazy about the new pricing structure, but I can get used to it. A disturbing change seems to be that you can't re-download an album for free anymore. Although maybe they just didn't apply previous download credit in the new pricing arrangement. We'll see. OTOH, I rarely re-DL anything, anyway.

I think it's priced a little high - it recently sold on ebay for $167. The OOP Mosaic market isn't what it once was (except for Maynard and Thad/Mel, for some reason). You used to be able to count on at least double the original price on these - no longer the case.
