  1. Been getting great reviews, but sounds too violent for my taste. ... and I really like the Coens.
  2. Maybe they're selective in some way. The new Fogerty album showed up as it was released, so the label is still active on the site.
  3. It's blatant sexism, Conn. And you're the victim.
  4. Yeah..........I think the QJ will be pretty good.
  5. BTW, if we all throw in $0.50 I think we can order one of these for Conn. Archie McPhee
  6. Buzz will be my first patient! Oh, noooooooooooooooooooooooooo ....
  7. Connnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn nnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn nnnnnnnnnnnnnnn[dick]nnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn nnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn nnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn!! Have a great one, OLD guy!
  8. I wonder where these sets are coming from? Seems odd.
  9. FREEEEEEEEEEEEeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!
  10. can you imagine a live jam with cream, the who, and mountain? damn. Actually..........I can't. How about we just imagine Mountain still around and Felix still alive.
  11. Yes........EXcellent album!
  12. Yer basic love/hate relationship? (you'll be happy with your purchase ...)
  13. Saturday - Abercrombie's new quartet
  14. Nice thought, Free...........but I received the box last week.
  15. A-OK, Tim-bo.......thanks.
  16. I learned a while ago (at the start of my Mosaic habit) that to try to listen to a whole box at once is dangerous - regardless of how good it is. It tends to be just too much of one artist at one time. I usually take these things at about 2 disks/listening session. And spread out the sessions over time.
  17. I'll be wondering what I was smoking!
  18. THAT'S interesting. The map that I linked into my post, updates itself.
  19. Good post Sangry. I think you nailed it.
  20. 5.4 in the Bay Area tonight. No damage that I know of, but it was a wild 20 seconds!
  21. Thanks, US......I'll check it out. Never heard of it before. I was headphoning Signify tonight on my iPod clone and it sounded even better. Ag, I hear ya on the Tix-master bamboozlement. I guess the only thing worse is buying from a ticket "broker".
  22. Hey Ag, I downloaded "Signify" from eMusic. Pretty interesting on first listen. I'll keep my eye out for other stuff of theirs. Speaking of Ticketmaster......I'll do ANYthing to avoid buying tickets from them or any other large, rip-off ticket agency. It's scandalous and I'm sure it doesn't help ticket sales (for the less popular attractions, anyway). I've found that you can usually get tickets, one way or another, from the venue itself for a lot cheaper.

    Jack Wilson

From a post on JazzCorner, Oct. 12: Jack Wilson, a Jazz pianist and composer who played tenor saxophone, vibraphone and organ, with such musical luminaries as Dinah Washington, Sarah Vaughan, Jackie McLean, Sammy Davis Jr. and Sonny & Cher, died Friday, October 5, 2007, in Northport, NY. His death, at the Northport Veteran’s Administration Medical Center, was caused by complications of diabetes, said his wife, Sandie Boerum-Wilson, of Sayville, NY. A celebration of Jack Wilson’s life is being planned for the near future.
