This was my first live music event since early 2020. They had mask and vax requirements, but no one seemed to mind and I think it made for a more relaxed atmosphere.

I had a great time, too. Hanging with Chuck and Ann was an extra treat. No doubt this music can be a little challenging at times (perhaps explains the muted reaction?), but the best way to experience it is live (IMO). And I think everyone attending the festival had a wonderful time. BTW, Tomeka was there as an audience member! Looking forward to next year!

But, STILL!!!

Yeah - it was a drag, but the bats had gone missing for a week or two before that. So it wasn’t totally unexpected. We had a great year anyway.

That looks good. Haven't seen it before, so I went to her website. I didn't realize she's been releasing collections of covers there. I'm sure they're all good.

Sounds like the Hot Rats set. I didn't buy it, but it seemed to be loaded with studio chatter.

Going to the first Giants (Dodgers/Cards) Division Series on Friday. My only game this year. Should be WILD!

His son Val is an accomplished guitar player. I saw him in Lucinda Williams' band several years ago. Very impressive.

Looking forward to the 50th Anniversary box, in the same format as all the other Steven Wilson long box remasters and includes a couple of live concerts

I ABSOLUTELY would have been there, but we went on our first vacation in 2 years, so I missed it.

I saw the Berkeley date on 7/16/77 included in that album. It was great, of course. I went partly because I never got to see Miles with the 60's Quintet, but was also a big fan of all those guys.

Hotels and airfare are up to each one. You'd have to check. Most hotels don't look for payment until a day or so before check-in, though. United gave me credit for my flight to the 2020 BE Fest, so I used that for my 2022 flight.

Got mine today, too. Haven't listened yet.

Elvis took the backing tracks of This Year's Model and invited some Latin singers to reimagine the vocals in Spanish. Pretty interesting!

Last year they refunded the ticket money for the 2020 BE Fest. BTW, the Premier Festival and Sonic Explorer Passes are already SOLD OUT for 2021, for anyone who was still interested.

Sounds painful ... get OFF! Oh, and get a pass. Looks like a great lineup (to ME)!
