    This astounding festival just popped into in my inbox. I already bought a series ticket. I've been aware of it in the past but I don't think it has ever been so jazz-centric. Bonus for me: the venue is 3 blocks from where I live Other Minds Festival 25

    I've been looking into aids myself. I thought that they were supposed to help in crowded/noisy situations. That's where I have the most trouble. Don't think I'm quite ready yet, but it's probably inevitable some day.

    I've had this version for a while but never REALLY listened to it. The difference from the previous releases is astounding. I heard a podcast with Steven Wilson recently where he talked about all the remixing jobs he's been working on over the past few years (Tull, King Crimson, Genesis, etc) and this was the one he was most proud of. It turns out that all the older Aqualung releases were from a flawed original mix-down. Wilson acquired all the original master tracks and digitally recreated the record for how it SHOULD have sounded. Quite revelation.

    The next season was just announced and tickets went on sale to Members today. LOTS of shows, with some of the more interesting ones coming next Spring. SFJAZZ 2021-22 Season
