  1. Definitely! Saw them once, in 1982. I think it was their first US tour (maybe their only one?)
  2. I saw the first one a couple of months ago with Billy Hart's quartet. I thought the video and audio were both very good.
  3. Yeah - he's an interesting character. Changed directions several times.
  4. This week: SFJAZZ Fridays at Five, Wayne Shorter Celebration Part 4 (from the shows at the venue early last year when he had to cancel his dates) w/ Joshua Redman, Ambrose Akinmusire, Danilo Pérez, John Patitucci, & Brian Blade
  5. Watched the Immanuel Wilkins Quartet w/Orrin Evans (piano), Daryl Johns (bass), Kweku Sumbry (drums) from the Jazz Gallery this past weekend. Very good! Nice production and audio quality, too.
  6. This 1999 solo album was better than I expected. Worth a listen!

    This one smokes, for SURE!
  8. Thanks, Chuck. My bad! And thanks for clearing up the mystery of the Divine Love set. I guess I didn't see the Monk program.
  9. Even though he walked off before finishing?
  10. I missed it because I wanted to watch the convention, but it's already archived. So, not the worst option. 2020 NEA Jazz Masters Tribute Concert Webcast Archive
  11. I saw the Dream Syndicate and Rain Parade in mid-February. It was last live show I saw.
  12. Thanks - I'll check it out. I see that there are 3 Volumes. Looks like they're loosely chronological: Vol 1 - the 60s, Vol 2 - the 70s, Vol 3 the 80's.
  13. How is that? Sweet can be really inconsistent, and I haven't heard Susanna outside of the Bangles.
  14. More sad about the Selects going away. It was a nice lower cost addition to the big boxes.
  15. I listened to a nice podcast with Roscoe from the National Endowment for the Arts ahead of the 2020 NEA Jazz Master Awards (which were delayed until Aug 20, virtually) Saxophonist, composer and 2020 NEA Jazz Master
