  1. That's on my list. She's really good!
  2. Cool. Sounds interesting. His solo albums have been hit and miss over the years, but I'm always ready to hear what he's doing.
  3. Is this a vinyl or CD release ... or both? I have a 1999 BJ release on CD. I'll ask Pat Thomas for more info.
  4. I think March is overly-optimistic. I bet it happens no sooner than Fall 2021. Not crazy about the 2 weekend format, either. But they posted that info on FB and got a lot of feedback about that. Here's their response: Thanks for the response and feedback. Here’s the thing. Many - actually most - of the artists can only do one weekend or the other. So, it’s not a choice between presenting everyone on a single weekend or on two. We realize that for many this would necessitate a choice - and we understand how difficult that might be. But we’re also determining ways in which the festival might do more in offering opportunities to artists and for audiences. A number of great festivals in the world span multiple weekends, often dictating difficult decisions for those who attend. But what a luxury to be able to choose, no? We share everyone virus concerns. That's the reason for waiting to announce line ups and to put tickets on sale. We need to see how things play out. We are also working on a back up plan should that be needed.
  5. Game Theory: "The Big Shot Chronicles"
  6. I pre-ordered the new Charles Tolliver today. Supposed to be released July 31.
  7. A classic. Thanks for posting. I totally forgot about these guys.
  8. Haven't heard THAT in a LONG time! "Comedy Minus One" was very good, too.
  9. I remember liking this album with Bobby Womack when it came out, but not sure how well it holds up. Haven't heard it in a long time. It's pretty commersh but not in a bad way. A couple with Charles Lloyd were pretty good, too: "Of Course, Of Course" and the recent Resonance album "Manhattan Stories."
  10. Not typically my kind of music (singer/songwriters), but she is a good writer with interesting ideas and a nice voice.
  11. I like the idea of Tidal, but I find their players very buggy. I want to use it though my Amazon Fire Stick and the living room audio system, but it crashes. Had more problems with the Windows App. Playing though Chrome is OK, but I get periodic streaming hiccups. Very frustrating. Amazon Music is my go-to streaming platform these days.
  12. I haven't seen the Smalls streams yet, but the VV show was very good. Much better than I expected for their first show. Will definitely do it again.
  13. Thanks! Very reasonable in both cases. Actually, too cheap in the case of Smalls.
  14. Is it $7/show, or is that a subscription?
  15. Billy Hart Quartet up this weekend. Starting off with a BANG!
