Bestbuy must be thinking that America is the centre of the universe or that other people who don't live there aren't equiped with CD players... They don't ship outside the US! How can any business justify this type of policy? Shame, this set has a few sessions I have only got on vinyl. And because I haven't sorted out a turntable in my car yet, this one would have been handy!

They are still for sale but quite a few have now gone. I have always been reasonably happy with the JRVG sound but I really enjoy the King reissues I have replaced them with. My Nelson set is fine.

Really a great performance by Sonny on Saturday. Pleasantly surprised with the acoustics although the guitar sounded a bit lost. How was Charles Tolliver? This was also on my list but I couldn't make it? Was that big band stuff? Did he play the tunes on the album that has just been released? The Charles Tolliver Select is a must have in my opinion.

I went to see Sonny Rollins last night at the Barbican Centre in London. I had never had the chance to see Sonny before and it was well worth the money. The man is still on top of things. Superb play. Nice to see him in great form with his sound intact. Bob Cranshaw was on the bass, Jeremy Jennings on drums , Anderson on the trombone. Guitar and percussions to complete the line-up. I can't believe the man is 77.
