Sounds like a good evening ! The ticket prices are pretty steep though - £50-60 for one concert is beyond what I would be prepared to pay I think (even if it is Sonny). I know tickets are pricey but there are so many legends I have never got to see play live.... I didn't want to let the opportunity go by and regret it. I am still very sad not to have managed to see Andrew Hill play before he left us.

I can't make the Tolliver concert but I will be there to see Sonny Rollins! I booked my tickets two months ago..

Same here! I received the shipping notification last Saturday but I haven't received it yet! Glad to know that you like it. This one has been on my wish list for a very long time even if I have a few sessions on Impulse LPs.

I was in the same situation as I didn'tknow that one of my sets was backordered. I had to send then an email to find out. I placed my order on October 13th and it hasn't shipped yet. I think they are snowed under over there but they responded to my email very quickly.

The rot sets in.. Good job I am a French teacher. It helps to keep my French going.... But if I don't go to France for a long period of time, I become a little bit hesitant in my mother tongue. This is very unpleasant and frustrating.

I have been buying LPs for two years and I must admit than 99.9% of the time my records arrive in the condition they were sent. I like it when the sellers remove the record from the jacket. Bubblewrap is wonderful, even with records. I would also recommend that you secure the corners of the jacket with cardboard or polystyrene as they tend to suffer the most.

I am looking for an original pressing of the Getz/Gilberto recording. Looking at the Goldmine book, the 1994 Mobile fidelity reissue costs now more than an original presssing. Is the sound on the Mobile Fidelity any better than on an original pressing?

It may be worth checking the FNAC, Brownie. A couple of years ago I managed to buy the Farlow and the Basie for 33 euros each. It may have been a one-off but I did see the Farlow at that price both in the FNAC in Nancy and Metz. FNAC.com sells the box for @137,36 Moreover I have never seen Mosaic boxes at those prices at the FNAC Paris stores! I have never seen them at that price either since that time. It was a bit of a shock when I found those sets for 33 euros. The FNAC is usually very expensive when it comes to jazz and the prices on their website are extortionate. I must confess I hardly buy any jazz in France as we have (or used to have with Fopp) cheaper sellers in the UK. Even Amazon UK seems to be cheaper than Amazon France.

The Shorty Rogers set. Not one of the most debated set on our board but one that I really enjoy everytime I give it a spin.
