Kevin Bresnahan Posted April 29, 2020 Report Posted April 29, 2020 (edited) Gerry Mulligan - The Emarcy Sextet Sessions (Mosaic). LP #1 which is "Presenting The Gerry Mulligan Sextet". Edited April 29, 2020 by bresna Quote
Kevin Bresnahan Posted April 29, 2020 Report Posted April 29, 2020 Jorma Kaukonen with Tom Hobson - Quah (Grunt). I got the limited edition (500) yellow/red split vinyl. Jorma played at the Shalin Liu performing arts center a few years back, so I got him to sign my LP. This record is much better than that performance. To be honest, the show wasn't that great - certainly not worth what I paid for a ticket. I guess the show was in 2016. I kept the stub. Quote
HutchFan Posted April 29, 2020 Report Posted April 29, 2020 Hey! It's James Moody (Cadet, 1960) An excellent quartet session with guitarist Johnny Gray taking the role usually filled by a pianist. Two different bass and piano players across the sessions. Music swings the roof off. Any Russell fan is going to like it Edited May 4, 2020 by mjazzg Quote
