What Should Be The Next Morgan RVG?

Well, I'm assuming there will be a lot of support for "Gigolo" (is that one definitely coming out?) but personally I'd like to see "Delightfulee" get RVGd.

And I certainly would not be disappointed with "Cornbread".

I'd love it to be Deligthfulee - it's the only Morgan on Blue Note date I don't have (have all the others in old CD releases)

How about a re-mastering of Tom Cat ? This one is a blast from beginning to end and both Morgan and Blakey are on fire .... :rsmile:

I agree-Tom Cat should be remastered (along with shorter's Soothsayer, but that's another thread). I've never been wild about Delightfullee, but that's just me--get the music out there, I say!

Another vote for Tom Cat, although The Rajah should at least be reissued. It's a crime that a Lee and Hank date should be so hard to find. Somebody ought to be arrested!

DELIGHTFULEE gets my vote - for some reason, the RVG treatment seems to give extra added benefit to larger ensemble sessions (ALL SEEING EYE was a session I never could really warm too much until the RVG allowed me to hear the music almost as if anew) - but would be quite happy to see any of those mentioned above get RVG'd.

I will presume that BN is not simply pulling our chain on The Gigilo(for SS's peace of mind) so I would hope they would go with something that we havn't seen like Indeed, Delightfulee or Rajah. I have never heard any of these and I would love ot see them out as RVG's or Conn's.

Is it just me, or is there audible surface noise on the bonus track, 'A Baby's Smile'? You would think this was the one tune that *had* to come from the Master Tape.
